Calling David Silva, Da Silva was getting on my t*ts big time. He also called Juande Ramos, Sergio Ramos, aswell as as you say Julian Lescott and also Mario Balocelli. He came across a right plonker

On the City v Spurs game, Chris Coleman was literally rimming Bale so hard, Bale passes the ball 2 yards, "lovely play by Baley, not see a better pass.", Bale scores and okay long shot that just beats Hart, "OMG BALE IS THE GREATEST PLAYER THIS SIDE OF THE MILKY WAY!!!", i was laughing when Bale clearly missed the ball for a shot then fell over, showed you a slow-mo replay he was saying "oh yeah you see just there his right foot slips, if he hits that though, its a goal."

It was pretty biased to say the least.

Glad it wasn't just me that noticed that! Uhh no Coleman, he slipped and lost his balance because he swung and missed the ball completely - not the other way around. Besides, slipping and falling on your ass isn't a legitimate excuse for missing a goal chance, it's just called being clumsy!

As far as I'm concerned, and I never thought I'd say this as he was a twat while playing, the best thing they could do is clone loads of Gary Nevilles and have him on every game.

    Deadly serious.

To be fair I like him as a pundit aswell. But I've got to admit, and im probably going to get pelters for this, I like Souness as a pundit. He tell's it exactly how it is. Him and Neville today were brilliant I thought. They're not afraid to give an opinion and do actually analyse games, something MOTD doesn't do anymore im afraid.

Just watched the City v spuds coverage on MOTD, i always thought Lee Dixon was a decent pundit but after listening to his comments on Balotelli i think he must be taking something .. He should of been off, clearly stamped on Parker on purpose yet Dixon tried to defend him saying he was getting his balance. If you are off balance you dont then stamp your free foot down behind the off balance standing foot.. Clearly did it on purpose and the fact a "professional" pundit, getting paid a fortune, tries to defend this is pathetic.

I believe the reason why England has such dull, bland and inept commentary is probably down to a kind of "old boys" network amongst the channels. It's why you always see ex-players as commentators/pundits. Look at Martin Tyler - he's never played but he's arguably the finest commentator in the country. Why aren't there more of him in the commentary box/pundits panel? Likely because whenever a footballer retires (Gary Neville, who I don't mind as a pundit) they instantly get a chance at this business just because they've played.

I'm sure there'd be a huge amount of talented young lads coming through universities etc. who would love a job as a commentator/pundit but due to all the current useless twats, don't get the chance.

Atleast they don't scream "Goal, goal, goal, goal, goal, goal, goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!" whenever there's......a goal.

I agree with this, a good player doesn't necessarily make a good commentator. When it's on the box and we can see it with our own eyes do we really need a commentator anyway?

I'd love to be a commentator.

"and Ben Arfa passes to Ameobi, who ****s up as usual"

It's true! Just give me a British guy with an incredibly entertaining accent and and even more impressive vocabulary, a lot of enthusiasm, and the ability to pronounce foreign names, a knowledge of the players, and quick wit/reactions. I couldn't care less if a guy made 500 caps for Liverpool - that probably just means he has no education, a **** vocab, and a false-sense of wisdom and self-righteousness.

I would much rather have Stephen Fry as a pundit/commentator than Jamie Redknapp.

<laugh> I would love it if commentators could really speak their minds though. The moment anyone says anything slightly controversial, it causes a massive, undeserved media ****storm.

read Garth Crook's team of the week, and look at the mistake he's wrote for Sessegnon.Careless and lazy. The fact its hyperlinked to the match report makes it worse. Another terrible pundit who shouldnt be anywhere near the tv.
