I saw no signs of OXO showing fatigue, he went on run after run, I saw no slowing down. Wenger claimed to see him stretching something, thats bollox.
Sorry Arsene, but i can't take any more bullshit. There was nothing wrong with Oxo, he seemed perfectly uninjured to me. Wenger Out.
Am I mistaken or did RVP turn and yell at the sidelines when AOC was called off? It looked like he questioned the substitution. However, I was so baffled by the whole situation that I may be imagining things and putting my words into RVP's mouth.
Checked the United forums and they all raving about the OX. That sub has to go down as one of the most bizarre I have ever seen.
It would be a real achievement just to get your best 11 fit and playing together for a run of games. I can't remember the last time I saw that at Arsenal. This loss isn't worse than the time we fielded a midfield of Rafael;Gibson;O'Shea;Fabio and won. Now that was bad.
The Ox has been on R5Live. He sounded very positive about what we needed to do and while disappointed with the result, said nothing about the substitution that I heard. Quiet unlike the Dzekos of this world.
Last time that happened... And look what happened to Rafa
Well Drogs - what did you make of that at the Emirates.? As you say you watch a lot of footie. Please try to be objective and not just twist the knife - we can do that ourselves !! I'd like to know what you thought of it all.
Interesting game, open for the first 20 mins and you looked like you could do something but after that it was all United! 2nd half you put in a good shift and maybe deserved something out of it based on that but Wenger made a terrible decision, I mean he said Oxo-Cham looked fatigued but there was no reason to bring Arshaving on ffs , you'd rather have Benayoun on surely?!
Personally I thought it was a pretty even game, and we weren't that much better. Similar to Utd vs Chelsea earlier in the season - both sides had a similar number of clear cut chances but Utd were more clinical (or Arsenal more inept in defence depending on your perspective on these things). We had the edge in terms of possession and quality - Arsenal didn't get a single corner and conceded more than twice as many fouls as us, but you could have had a draw if Djorou and Arshavin hadn't ****ed up so badly. Then again, if the ref had been harsher on Ramsey and Welbeck hadn't tried so hard to keep his feet it could have been worse for you. Probably a fair result in the end.
What a day!! Great atmosphere we sang our hearts out during the game! Nightmare leaving the stadium thou!!
Most of that was fair comment. I do think you ignored the 3 or 4 serious chances we had - wasted. I do worry that our players are now suffering from mind tension - they are rarely 'up for it'. Like Arshavin - maybe Torres - it's all in the mind
TBH I don't think Arshavin and Torres are at all similar situations, Arshavin does not want to be here, Torres has confidence issues!
I don't think it's the fact he took Oxo off, it's who he brought on! He could've had Benayoun come on instead of Arshavin who's done **** all.
