Watching Goals on Sunday and noticing the reaction of the fans, all clubs, after a goal is scored. It struck me how many middle aged, respectfull looking men and woman go mad when a goal is scored. They jump up and down, hug whoever is next to them and the smile on their face is always the same. A great big, ear to ear grin. Now I know how it feels, so do you, for that brief moment we just go daft, punch the air, wave our arms, jump up and down and all is good in the world. People who dont follow sport think we are mad, they just dont get it, not sure I do but I just love that feeling.
Nothing beats that feeling for me Syd, the 5 seconds after we score a goal I just completely lose it.
Nothing beats that feeling Syd. Should have seen me when King Dong scored the winner against city. I had the whole family round, in laws, brother and sister and kids, they all thought there was something wrong with me.
ha. i always end up on the floor, about 20 seats along and 3 rows down, or on the stairs and i don't sit near the stairs.
Not football related but going daft related. My brother lives in a block of flats, he was watching the ashes a couple of years back, and England were knocking their wickets down in quick succession, well he got a bit carried away, Knock on the door, opened it to 2 Policemen, We have had a report there has been a Murder at this property, can we come in, My brother was perplexed to say the least. The Police had a report that there was so much shouting coming from his flat, his neighbours had reported someone getting murdered in it, he was just watching the cricket ffs.
wish you had seen me in 73 when Porterfield put it away, ran out of the house into the street and was dancing with neighbors.
Best feeling ever, Man City at home was magnificent with that last minute Ji goal, only time i've come close to that was Ricco's free kick against the skunks and Gyan equaliser against the same. ****ing brilliant feeling. Oh, and Porterfields winner in 73.
best moment for me was this. ] I was right next to where the corner was taken, me and my dad went crazy and he bust my lip and nose when his arms went all over the place, I never felt a thing till after the match lol
Anyone remember the moment when Craig Russell's wind assisted rocket (that was heading for Sandrinham Terrace without the gale force wind) dropped in in Reids first home game. That was complete and utter euphoria, and if that feeling is ever beaten, I will be stunned. Martin Scott's penalty against the Mags at Rokers last ever derby would have beaten it, but the lack of any away fans simply RUINED that moment. I know we lost the game, but I remember looking at the Fulwell (from the Roker Wing) after literally screaming for about 3 minutes, and it was STILL going wild. ****ing Northumbria Police. Steve, That's another great moment mind, I wasn't at the game, but was crammed into a doorway in the Ivy House pub, the place went mental, brilliant. What a ****ing header, BTW!
