Ba tweeted last night that yesterday was a bad day and today is a new day. Thats the attitude us fans should all have too. We are still sixth and the results for Liverpool, Stoke, Chelsea etc means our defeat isn't as bad as first thought. We seem to have a blip every few games, so what? We are still sixth a performing way above expectations.

Keep the faith last, onwards and upwards!!! HTL

We're still sixth, with a very outside chance of going 5th today! Liverpool and Stoke lost so we've lost no ground at all, and we lost away at a ground we traditionally struggle on. What should be an easyish cup game next, then Blackburn, plus our Senegalese players might be back sooner than expected. I'm glass half full.

    Yes!!

Liverpool lost to ****ing Bolton, but no ones calling them ****, so no one should use our result yesterday to judge our season either.

A lot of people got very carried away yesterday. Yes, it was a dire performance in the second half after a dominant first half, but the other results have gone in our favour and the table is pretty much as it was. Here's to Brighton and Blackburn and hoping that Arsenal get stuffed (sorry Kyle?).

Still want Double Demba right now though.

I totally agree. I've moved on although I it does hurt, our defence is usually pretty solid and I'm sure they will start being solid again in our games to come

    If it'd been a 1 - 0 or 2 - 0 or something then I don't think it'd be so bad, but to lose 5 - 2 is appalling. Fulham aren't exactly a top club.

I'm not saying our season is ruined or Pardew is the worst manager ever or whatever, but it's a terrible loss and it shouldn't just be forgotten about, at least not by the players - They need to use this as a motivator to put them in the right place of mind to destroy Brighton and Blackburn.

It doesn't need to be remembered, it just needs to be a wake up call for Pardew that we cannot play a high line!!

The wake up call should have been after the Chelsea match when we got overran after Coloccini went off, also certain players are going missing in games since then, thought we'd cut it out after the last 3 home games but yesterday it was complacent Newcastle.
