Come on, Jack Army, that smacks of sour grapes. I agree that I wouldn't pay to watch Sunderland play but they did a professional smash and grab on us, scored two quality goals and kept a clean sheet - they got three points, we got zilch.

I think any neutral would agree that we were far superior in football terms but the object of the game is to score and we didn't. As for being "a dirty team of cloggers", again I have to disagree. They were physical but not OTT. This is a man's game so why should they stand off and let us ping the ball about at our leisure? They knew we could pass them to death so they countered it as best they could and they made a good job of it.

The difference that counted was the two strikes from players who cost far more than we could afford. The interesting thing for me, however, is this. If we can manage to stay up and get a much needed capital injection, next season will see us being able to afford that sort of quality. Harness that to what we already have, together with our footballing ethic, and we will be a very dangerous PL side that no one will fancy playing.

Survival is paramount. If we do that, I firmly believe that we will cement our place in the Premier League for years to come.

Wouldn't worry to much about that....no way are you going down...

Canny manager you have there...some good, indeed very good players....

Start picking up points away, and you'll be flying....yourselves and Norwich have been a credit to promoted clubs...enjoy it..

I haven't seen the game yet, but looking at the stats Sunerland only had two shots on goal. Was this game a case of the Swans being comfortable in defence and then getting beat by two unstoppable 25 yrd screamers, or was there more to it?

Not far off mate. But that's football. Ivor got it spot on. We were undone by 2 fabulous goals. Had we put our chances away it would have been so different, in a game we dominated (64% possession!). The Mackems should understand that it's hard to be complimentary to your opponents in those circumstances, but you can't fault the goals that were worthy of winning any game.

I don't expect any praise from you lads tbh <ok> O'Neill knew what he was doing, you very much struggled to do anything with your domination of possession.

To those insulting our style of football: I would much rather win games than lose. So for me the style of football is completely irrelevant for me. O'Neill is a winner just the same as Mourinho, he played 'ugly' football to win the champions league; I'm pretty sure he or the inter fans don't give a ****.

If we played really attacking football you'd have slaughtered us with your pace on the counter. I am happy.

You won't hear me bleating about the fouls or non-fouls. Sure, the 2 footed challenge deserved a red. Check the rules, it doesn't matter if the guy wins the ball. But it's a physical game and if our players can't handle it they shouldn't be out there.

OK 'Jack' offs, sheep shaggers or whatever. That is the worst I have seen us play and we won comfortably 2-0. Your keeper made a good save from Larsson in the first couple of minutes and Sinclair(?) missed the goal with a similar chance that Sess tucked away.

'Tippy tappy keep ball' in your own half may think you ran the game as for sure it produces high possession stats, but get a grip as soon as you tried to move up the pitch we took the ball off you, broke quickly away and had a shot, your keeper had a lot more to do ours. Your wingers, which I guess you depend on for lots of creativity were shackled y Rico and McBardo, our two CBs Brown and O'Shea keep going to the side lines for a cup of Bovril, they were so cold from having nothing to do.

The last really boring game at the SoL was against Stoke a couple of years ago I have to say you push them hard for boring negativity and unimaginative tactics, playing keep ball in your own half as if being only 1-0 down was the best you could hope for, no fight, no spirit no creativity, no points|

The game was not particularly dirty but the guy that smashed Bendtner face should have been sent off. The ref was in your favour, but as you did not have any verve to get into our pen area very often he could not even gift you a pen that he was itching to do. You also whinge about Blackpool, who were much the better team and much much more exciting to watch.

Nowhere in the rules does it actually mention two feet.

Actually. Checked them several time over the last couple of weeks, no mention of it anywhere in the rules & laws of the game.

What a load of twaddle.. you..... knacker boy.....the first 15 minutes we played a high line hunting for the ball in packs of you tippy tappy ovine loving ballerinas....mons tactics worked well .then we scored a great goal by a very talented player (who would walk into your team ) then we lost our striker from a kick to the eye from one of your thugs then we started to sit back and let you play with the ball in the midfield and boy you like to do that tippy tappy back forth watch those triangles go..lets be honest you keep the ball very well ....but you did bugger all with it..you were toothless Sunderland defended very well they kept their shape and to be honest you were woeful in the final third.......I watched the match thinking swansw can pass the ball well but like our defencive performance its not entertainment..I think if you had scored MON would have changed his tactics but you did not and to be honest you never looked like scoring(except for sinclair in first half)...football is about putting the ball in the back of the net simples you can preen all you like, you can be the best looking, best turned out tup in the field but if you cannot do the deed with the yews !.........well the farmers going to cut your knackers of and sell you for mutton pretty dam quick....

Why has this thread deteriorated into name calling and back bitting, like a bunch of bloody kids. We lost, Sunderland won get over it. Onward, onto the next game. If we manage to stay up, then to me, that will be better than us winning promotion.

Small club run on a tight budget, biggest transfer fee of 3.5m some clubs play the game there way we do it our way. Onwards and Upwards.
