Anyone watch the Huddersfield v Brentford game last night? Good game actually but I'm more concerned about my man Jordan Rhodes. Scored his 27th (yes 27th) of the season and the winner. It was a peach of a goal as well.

He is strong, pacy, direct and is a fabulous finisher.

This lad is going to be some clubs superstar, mark my words. He would be perfect for us imo.

He is destined for a top EPL club this summer imo so all the more reason to get in there now and make an offer now. He would probably cost in excess of £6m but at 22 years old and 3 consecutive seasons with a shed load of goals (something like 66 in 104 games) and he is ready now to make the step up for me.

This is the lad for me guys.

Apart from the game where he scored 5 I haven't seen much of him, however, his record speaks for itself.

A jump in class up to the premiership but with that record would rather take a chance on him than somebody from a European club.

This is my point. Some unheard of foreigner or a hungry young British lad?

Rhodes will be an EPL player in the next 6 months. Of that there is no doubt in my mind so my argument is it should be us.

Best money to be spent this window imo.

no i disagree with signing him at all who was the last player who moved up two levels and shone...

the two newest ones were bekford and la fondra (both scorers) niether has shined

also do we have 8-10m because west ham made a 6m bid and they whouldnt even negotiate

We tried to get the last good goalscorer Huddersfield had,he went to Blackburn,(step up a league)did ok then we got our man,who?....John Stead lol..

BUT from what I've seen of the boy Rhodes, he will,as cest says be a super star for some team in the future, would be nice if we bought him.Is he the british player we are supposed to be after??? only MON knows.

Id just got home from the match yesterday (via the Chinese) put the tv on put the huddersfield game on and within 2 secs long ball from the back to Rhodes, back of the net, great finish. I know it would be a big leap but every time I've seen him he's scored and impressed me. He'll be in the championship at the very least next year, with or without Huddersfield. I think he'd be a good signing for any of the likes of us, villa, everton, QPR. Considering the money they've wasted even Liverpool woulent be a bad shout at 6m

I hope we are looking at him. SKP was a lower league player who stepped up and he didn't do too badly!

Not for me. It would need a bid f around 8m to get him and that's justtoo big of a risk imo. If he had those stats in the championship then I'd say he was worth a punt but the difference betwen league 1 and the prem i massive, not sure he would cut it. He needs a season or two in the championship first to prove his mettle imo.

    3

West Ham bid £4m. It would be £4m down and then add ons so if would have to be successful anyway to cost up more.

This lad has that instinct all good goal scorers have and If he succeeded, his sell on value would triple.

I really cant see Campbell or Ji to be ready this year.
So it leaves Wichkam and Rhodes to fight for the place.
Wickham shows glimmers of being a top player for me and him and Rhodes could form a fantastic partnership in the future.

No no i fully agree thats why i said partnership for the future.
Start them off with all the cup games, keep Sess for the premiership and you never know with Sess playing like this we may get made an offer we cant reject.....or more probably an offer Sess cant reject.

I know he's young but whickham hasn't impressed me at all (bar villa goal) i know he's had injuries too. Ideal scenario for me is we get a finished article goalscoring forward and we can maybe look at leaning wickham to a championship club next year

Wickham needs a run of 6-8 straight games imo to show what he is capable of. Still only young and not scared to have a go or to get stuck in.

Does he need to be loaned out? Already proven in the championship methinks. Think MON is the man to bring him thru this learning process. May get his chance now with bendy looking to be out for a while.
