starting to doubt kenny, bad signings, poor results and no one can score, if i was in that dressing room there would be boots flying
This site has been down for me since 5 o ****ing clock. Anyway, we were shocking. It's time Dalglish and FSG wake up and smell the coffee, we have a post squad, no quality, no enthusiasm, bad tactics. Ergh, now do some of you see what we mean when we are being "pessimistic" as you say? Its not pessimism, it's realism. And it's about time a lot of fans start accepting it so we can do something about it. Idk, i have serious doubt as to Kenny's talents if I'm honest. I'd rather have Rafa in all honesty. We'll see.
I never ever understood Liverpool's desire to get of Rafa. Without doubt, the best manager Liverpool have had in a long time. Won the CL FFS. And consistently got Liverpool in the top 4. Utter madness to get rid of your most successful manager in recent history.
Truely awful. I'm normally quite optimistic and don't tend to jump down peoples throats after a bad game, but that performance was awful. We probably should have had a pen just before Bolton scored but we wouldn't have deserved it. Defence looked terrible, no one closed players down and it shows how much we missed Lucas / Spearing by the fact their first 2 goals were from midfield runners not being tracked by Adam/Gerrard. As much as I love Gerrard, he can't be trusted to play centre midfield anymore because he's not disciplined enough to do that job. Stick him on the right or behind the striker and let him just roam around and don't give him any defensive responsibilities. Adam is the same, not good enough to track the man so playing him without Lucas/Spearing is criminal. Bellamy has been a star and I can't say a bad word about him now. Really proven me wrong as I wasn't keen on him at the start of the season. He looked like the only one that gave a damn out there tonight. Some of them need a kicking and telling that playing for Liverpool should be an honour and not something tot ake for granted. I'd rather we stick a few youngers like Kelly, Morgan, Sterling in the squad and drop a few "big name players" just to show them that you can't perform like crap and expect to stay in the team. Hope we don't perform like that against City or we really could be in trouble/
maxi out sterling in, adam out anyone at all in, skrtel out maybe play wisdom or coates, and please please please sign someone who can score. Bellamy is our ownly impressive player recently
I watched the Liverpool U18's v Man City U18's game on Saturday morning, how refreshing to see the youngsters take the game to the league leaders and fight until the final whistle for the winner after deservedly drawing level with 5 minutes left through a Jordan Lussey goal. They never accepted they'd lose and put the 'senior' players to shame with the commitment they showed. By contrast a few hours later overpaid prima donna's on megabucks wages could't be arsed against Bolton. Kenny has promised to kick arse but with a trip to Wembley at stake against City on wednesday hes hardly likely to drop any of the usual suspects.
I just can't argue with the Sterling in point just because he's a kid...so what. The lad has pace and can beat a man. I'm not saying play him every game but the likes of him Suso and Morgan would at least give it their all. Some players out there today need to be brought down a peg or two or they just won't learn that they can't just walk in to the team and think that they are giving acceptable performances. Time for a bit of a change of tack at the club in terms of who is really worthy of pulling on the shirt
Ps....I would accept us getting thumped by City on Wednesday if I went and saw 11 kids trying their hardest to win.
Do what exactly? Don't get me wrong we are a particularly vocal & unified bunch but what are "we" going to do to fix this? The only thing "we" can do is be nasty & negative enough to force another decent manager out the door (ferguson got 5x the time) so the has it come to this? Has the sophisticated Liverpool supporter jumped on the media bandwagon? Maybe I'm too old but this isn't how it's done or at least this isn't how it use to be done at LFC. Yeah, I was lucky enough to grow up in the glory years but the guys then that were my age now watched us in the 3rd division. Would they have publicly Slated the players, the manager? So please, I'm sick of the ever decreasing decade of whining & bitterness. We're starting to sound like victims or worse blue noses looking for excuses to stay rubbish. I hope we're not but hey: I'm just an optimist.
I don't mean "we" as in the fans. I mean it as in LFC as a club. The management, the coaching staff and the players. Transfer dealings = poor, tactics = often poor, player performance = shocking. Every single one of those players bar bellamy and reina need to take a long hard look at themselves and realise that it's a ****ing honour to play for Liverpool, and they should start acting like it is; rather than going out and not giving a damn. I'm sorry if i sound whiney or pessimistic, but it's gotten to the point that i honestly don't want to watch us play anymore, because as soon as i see the team sheet i know it's going to be a boring draw or a boring loss. I remember the 09 season when we came second. Everyone couldn't wait for the next game, because even if we weren't winning (which we were), we were playing great football and creating great chances. 4-0 Utd, 5-1 Villa, 5-1 Newcastle etc. Now there is no point getting exited about the games. It shouldn't be like that. Football is entertainment at the end of the day and there is nothing entertaining about our games at this time.
That's kind of fair enough...but whether we're in the 3rd division or the Prem what I expect as a Liverpool fan who also lived through at least some of the "glory years" is that the players try their hardest every time they go out on the pitch. It's not a question of "we never used to criticise so why do it now" I look at it more like this...through the "glory years" I never criticised (or rarely) simply because 95% of the time I saw guys playing for the shirt and sweating blood for their team. I simply don't see that regularly enough and it is because of this that we've had a "decade of whining and bitterness". It isn't the whining that causes lack of effort it's the lack of effort that causes the whining. It's all very well comparing today with yesterday but you also have to accept that the mind set of current Liverpool players seems to be far removed from the teams of the past. I can't see many out there today who'd run through a brick wall for their club can you? The rewards for footballers these days is 1000 times what it used to be so we can be excused for criticising players who won't put in a tenth of the effort put forward by the many of the players we've seen in a Red jersey before.
I feel bad for you mate, having splashed out to watch todays garbage. I only go to 4 or 5 home games a season as I live in Devon and that costs me enough each year with travel, hotels etc, but you guys who go home and away I have much respect for. That said, I'm guaranteed a ticket for carling cup final if we get there, and also got ticket for home game v the Arse the following week, but starting to think I may sell Arsenal ticket as can only see us getting dicked by them at the mo!
I know what u mean mate look, come monday I'll be gagging to go to the next game...you should defo come for the Arse game because as garbage as we played today and as mad as I am right now...come the next game I still get the buzz I don't go to all the away games anymore but I have been unfortunate enough to have done quite a few in a row and after Wigan away, City away (league not cup unfortunately) and now Bolton away I'm just a bit pissed off
anyone else think we should try and get rafa in as an assistant manager, he would help fix the tactics and i see kenny as more of a motivator. Also we have seen just how much lucas means to us over the last few games, he would never roll over like that ****e we saw against bolton
We have done the join managers job before, not sure. Now i have had a night to sleep on it i think KK needs more time, think he needs to re-think not signing anyone in the window though
