Why are people specifically picking on Shola for today we lost 5-2 not 1-0, he did better than most and gave Fulham scares in the first half.

It's not just because of today, it's the fact he rarely puts in effort to chase balls down and is just generally worse than our other strikers.

He was pretty gash today (again) but he can't be blamed for the result. Overall I think we underestimated Fulham in the second half. Pardew seemingly didn't count on Jol's tactics.

I will respect a play for trying, even if he is ****, but Shola is a lazy **** and look like he's in slow motion constantly.

He's good when used as a sub, but when he starts, he sucks cock

Why does Best come off and not Shola?

I've come to despise shola more than anybody else in the team, he is beyond a joke.

Even when all else fails, Shola's physical presence is greater than Best's. Even when he's knackered. Unfortunately.

Reading the title it conjures images of Shola and Cisse in a gladiatorial fight to the death to determine who will start.

Said it on another thread but Shola is even worse when he is paired with Best. They are far too similar to play up top together.

I feel bad for him to be honest, because he clearly isn't up to it, and for some unfathomable reason Pardew seems to encourage him. And let's face it, he really wants to play but suffers more from being generally knackered rather than lazy. I really do think his heart is in the right place. (Owen or Viduka, those chaps were proper lazy).

I put it down to Pardew being a bit soft to be honest.

This has got to do with Shola and his ability to maintain fitness... I'm sure you guys remember Pardew gave Shola some intensive fitness training and he looked fit when coming on as a sub...However as the days went by... it's back to square one again..

His one offside today in which he clearly was ahead of play for several seconds waiting for the ball to be played forward, and couldn't possibly have not noticed he was offside, pissed me off more than usual. You've been a senior player in the EPL for over 11 years and you don't show ANY recognition or attention towards offside - it's a shocking embarrassment.

Shoala quite simply is two things. 1 - lazy, 2 - ****. Neither will change and both mean he should never play.

The thing that pissed me off most about that was that he got in Cabaye's way, and then looked at the linesman as if it was the wrong decision when he put his flag up. Other than by standing on the goal-line, he couldn't have been more offside.

Maybe that is why he's such a useless ****! Because Pardew is playing him every game he thinks he's playing well. HA! Dream on!

I usually stand up for Shola, but his performance was absolutely dire yesterday. Can't wait for Ba and Cisse to be back.
