    I disagree. Also fast centre-backs:

    Luiz
    Agger
Skrtyl (or however you spell his name)
    Smalling
    Jones
    Cahill
    Vermaelen

the list goes on. They're just ones in the teams above us. You could also add Jagielka, for example.

Most. Teams don't convert all quick youngsters into strikers. If anything, they often move them back

Well Vermalen isn't faster than Colo, but the others I agree, but most center backs lack pace man.

Colo is not slow for a center back, compared to most he's quick.

Colo and Williamsons pace isn't a problem, it's the high line!! If you play a high line against pace you're going to get ****ed, simple as!

The high line doesn't work unless you've got very fast centre-backs, I agree. Colo is OK for pace but has been exposed against Odemwingie, Dempsey etc., which we need to compensate for with better defensive positioning. You could understand Pardew trying to tighten up the game and force it into their half, though.

We got caught out in the full back areas with diagonal balls........AGAIN. Its out biggest weakness along with set pieces.

    It needs sorting. Big Time!!!

This is exactly what I think though. I don't think our CB's are quick, but FOR CENTER BACKS, and compared to most other CB's, Williamson is average paced, and Colo has decent pace.

But against fast strikers in a high line, how can you blame Colo and Willo for not keeping up? It's clearly **** tactics. You only play a high line against teams with no pace up front.

Johnson isn't the quickest these days.

Colo is pretty slow and Willo is very slow. I'd actually say Saylor is our quickest CB. The high line cost us as we don't have pace at centre back at all.

Our CB's aren't slow, we just can't play a high line. Pardew is an idiot for ever thinking that -

    1. We could play a high line vs a team with pace
    2. Shola is any good

I'd say Colo is pretty quick for a cb, and Willo is pretty slow for a cb. Off the top of my head there's only really Carragher in the premiership slower than him.

Colo is quick for a CB. I've never stated he's QUICK, but compared to most CB's, he is. He accelerates well and isn't snail pace over long distances, he's just not quick enough to keep up with fast strikers, like most CB's....

Vermaelen is far quicker than Colo. i could also say Koscielny, Djourou, Miquel. Actually, we're crammed full of pacy CB's. Shame only 2 of them are good.

Colocinni isn't too slow but I've seen tides move faster than williamson. He's too slow to be a good premiership defender. Neither should ever ever play a high line though unless we sell shoala and play against him. I can dream...
