Once again some awful awful mistakes made at the back, other than that good from the midfield and upfront!!

I listened to the link the Leeds supporters put on another thread and the commentators couldn't believe it, they've never seen such bad individual mistakes, same old same old this season. Leeds didn't even create 1 chance all match yet they scored 3 goals.

As much as Jewell can be blamed for not getting in the right defensive enfourcements, you cannot blame him for the continual individual mistakes which our CB's and GK's keep making.

As ever our midfield and attack looked decent, the leeds commentators said we were the only team in it until the sending off but the CB's looked useless. They said the best players for leeds today were McCarthy ALB and Sonko.

We will be ok if we get 2 good CB's but if not we will be relegated!! We need to get it sorted asap

    Your living in dreamland!

Its too late!! Who is going to want to come play for us now? Even the players we've got don't want to play for us!

Get prepared for League 1 because thats where we are heading with this Clown in charge!

He had the whole transfer window in the summer to bring in 2 CB's and a Right Back and he failed to do it! You cant blame Keane etc this is all down to Clegg and Jewell and they must go now.

Agreed ptc, we need the SAS to engage in a covert operation to kidnap Vidic and Puyol. Only the worlds elite can accomplish this impossible task of getting defenders in, call in the army PJ.

Jwm, He did bring in two CB's though, one has already gone and the other passes backwards in his own box <doh>

Well, who on earth determines the coaching staff?

This is Jewells fault though, it is now 21st Jan and still no ****ING CB's. Instead he decides to chase after unrealistic targets and insults them by offering peanuts!!

Sonko and McCarthy were awfull and these are players bought in by Jewell, wouldn't suprise me if ALB let Leeds score as a two fingered salute to Jewell for dropping him!!

Total disaster and i feel we have now left it too late to sack Jewell now, a new boss will have no time to assess the squad and bring in his own players. So in short, we are stuck with Jewell and just have to pray for survival!!

In Smith's defence (sorry for the pun) though, it sounded like he had a good game. We should be looking to bring in at least one CB and a right back. We need improving all over the park but these two positions are PRIORITY. If I see any one but a CB or RB brought in I will be livid.

I can't see us bringing anyone in, don't think we are capable of attracting anyone on a permanent basis, so we will no doubt have to rely on loans.

Personally i think its an absolute disgrace that we are STILL without that right back, for that alone Jewell should be sacked!!

Its all very well saying that we have to bring in CB's but its too late!

No decent player is going to want to come and play for us now and I couldn't blame them! The only way of attracting any decent players now is to sack Jewell and get Warnock in! <ok> He may just save our season.

It's never too late to sack Jewell, the only place he's taking us is League 1. He's a spent force, and we certainly won't attract any new players with him in charge.

It's a sad state of affairs if a well equipped championship club can't attract players from lower leagues, wouldn't you say?. Personally I think our scouts suck nuts, what have they been doing since the summer if not identifying targets for the next window ffs. I wonder if they've ever heard of Europe, they play football in other countries too, and some of them are quite good.

On a slightly positive note, was that not Drury's first goal for us?

Really pleased for him, should keep his place for West Ham...

Does anyone seriously think we’ll have anyone after this transfer widow apart from a couple more loans?

I have a theory that Jewell and Clegg have been mightily impressed by their haggling ability on previously holiday excursions to Tunisian markets or something. They remain so convinced of their word champion standard negotiating techniques that we’re consigned for evermore to be lumbered with the McCarthys and the Ellingtons of this world.

Its bad that we are arguing who is the worst manager. I go by the point that Jewell didn't ruin this club, Keane did!! When Keane took over things were rosy and he made a decent squad into an awful one. Any manager taking over from the mess he left us in was going to struggle. When Jewell took over we were in a dire situation and as of yet despite the initial reprive last season hasn't managed to stem the tide at all!!

48% Loss rate and counting surely doesn't make you a bad manager!

Your right JWM the stats don't lie and they are terrible, the worst of any ITFC manager??

The difference is I'm pretty sure, I know its irrelevant but if Jewell had taken over when Keane took over, we certainly would be in a more rosy situation than we currently find ourselves in. Keane took us from at the time and underachieving 9th with a decent squad and then spending £12million on that squad to a team who sold all their decent players or didn't offer their most valuable players new contracts and a team fighting relegation. I'm not defending Jewell's record because it is terrible, worse than Keanes, but Jewell didn't ruin this club, he hasn't help turn the tide but it was Keane who put us in a situation where our current predicament was more than likely.
