Can't wait for this one Hoadie !!! Glad the Wombles are back in the league. First team I ever saw Gills play way back in 1979 !! PS we won that 1-0 so more of the same please Gills
Should be a good following for Wimbledon today, I read on Tuesday they had already sold more than 500 tickets. So if they have sold at least another 250, they will probably be bringing down as many as Stoke. Your real bread and butter fans.
Team News from Kent Online: Flitney, Lee, Martin, Richards, Lawrence, Tomlin, J Payne, Montrose, Jackman, Kedwell, Kuffour Looks like Tomlin will be playing on the wing, which I'm not too sure he'll be happy about...http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/2012/january/19/gavin_tomlin.aspx?
Wow! What an entertaining game. I certainly didn't expect us to lose at 2-0 and 3-1 up, but full credit to AFC Wimbledon. That was some comeback!
WTF.............Another Lawrence penalty give away. Richards OG.......this team WANTS to stay in league 2. When Southend and Cheltenham throw us a helping hand.......... We cannot compete with the successful teams in this division when the likes of this result and the 2-1 away defeat at D&R are hurting so bad. Its just like the easy run in we had for the play offs last year when two home defeats ultimately cost us. This is just not good enough.........and the players have to shoulder the blame, not the manager.
The squad isn't good enough for league one. But we won't be far from the play-offs. I think we'll just miss out and finish around tenth. Twelth at worse.
Ok, now I've probably got this all wrong so can someone please explain Hessy's tactical second half genius to me? We are 3-1 up and Kuffour and Tomlin are running the show. The pacey players we have been talking about all week arrive. Yes we are in fifth gear and cruising but hang on what is this I see...a substitution...Kuffour our tricky little striker coming off? To be followed later by Tomlin and look to be replaced by none other than..OLI ffs why did I not think of that, Hessy your genius, well done. GAME OVER 3-4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am having trouble loading not606, this is the first time I have been able to get on here, anyone else have the problem/
None of the subs were tactical. Kuffour and Tomlin were not match fit and Jackman was injured. Jackman's injury was the matchturning moment. The defence was rock solid for an hour and really looked up for it. Why a back four who were in total control should suddenly lose collective cocentration is anybody's guess but the finger has to be pointed at the players not Hessy.
I think people like Richards' may have played his last game for us if Hess' comments are to believed. The defence has been a problem for the last 2 seasons and will be the main reason why we haven't gone promoted or got into the playoffs. I think the likes of King, Essam and Davies may be given a run in the side but the midfield has to take some responsibility as well.
