I kind of dislike him just because he was at Sheff Utd when they always seemed to beat us and cheat in doing so, but his QPR sacking seemed very unfair to me. He got them to the PL and had only two weeks to assemble his squad (the previous owners were in place for most of the summer and wouldn't give him any money) IMO he should have been given the season in the PL with them, he got them there and it's his right to try and keep them there. If they were clear at the bottom then maybe I could understand the sacking but they weren't even in the relegation zone, and the weird thing is their owner Fernandes had offered him support until very recently, so god knows what changed so suddenly.

Maybe they fell out or something.

"Lost his job and the guy is blaming everyone but himself! Embarrassing, time to look in the mirror mate," added Barton, who was made club captain by Warnock. And he went on: "Looking forward to the game against Wigan tomorrow. First time in a while we actually have a plan and seem organised."

I don't think he did a bad job.

Got them to the Prem first full season he had, others didn't.

It was never going to be a cruise.

Barton should keep his mouth shut. He'll be the next one being shown the door.

Barton, what a pillock. I find it hilarious that he goes on Twitter and quotes Friedrich Nietzsche, as though he's ever read a book in his life that wasn't an autobiography of some sporting figure. He should just stick to doing what he's paid for, the man has delusions of grandeur.

Wonder if the QPR fans will share his sentiments?

He won't, he's the main culprit for being in the chairman's ear to get rid of Warnock in the first place. One of Warnock's last training sessions him and Barton fell out and Barton's response to Warnock having a go at him about it was to tell him he didn't care because you lot (Warnock and a couple of the other coaches) won't be here much longer anyway.

As for Warnock, what he did last season and the fact he didn't have long to build the squad in the summer is irrelevent when as the season has gone on he's developed the knack of making bizarre tactical and selection decisions that means he isn't getting the best out of what he has got.

Who do you think will sign him? They got him on a free transfer, so his agent negotiated the "transfer fee" into his wages.

I think Colin's a twat, but he does seem to have an uncanny knack of getting teams to the Premier League and an equally uncanny knack for getting sacked shortly afterwards.

His treatment in this instance is a bit unfair, but as he is a twat, I'm not all that bothered.

Barton is a good player, but a shabby individual, something that will cost him one day.

As Joey Barton was his captain he'd probably have drunk it.

If Nick had turned us down and we were managerless at the moment i would have Warnock here in an instant. I would imagine he wont be short of offers for his next job.

not really sure where all this vitriol for Colin comes from, can someone enlighten me....? For sure he's a gobby outspoken bloke like a lot of Yorkshire folk, myself included, but he says it as he sees it.
Barton is just pathetic & sadly it's a sign of the times he has a public forum such as facebook to air his views - nothing wrong with free speech but what on earth does he hope to achieve with these asinine outpourings - as a friend of mine often says "the problem with stupid people is they think everyone else is stupid"....

I like that Barton - the QPR captain seems devoid of any responsibilities for what the team do on the pitch.
3 teams get relegated every year , usually the worst 3 which is why the game is played over a season and not on twatter.

Barton should be clever enough to know saying things like this, have a horrible way of coming back to haunt you. There again we are talking about Barton, who doesn't seem to have much between his ears.
