Newcastle (4-4-2): Steve Harper; Danny Simpson, Mike Williamson, Fabricio Coloccini, Jose Enrique; Joey Barton, Danny Guthrie, Kevin Nolan (c), Jonas Gutierrez; Shola Ameobi, Leon Best

This is the team from last season, and it was possibly the worst display I've ever had the misfortune to wtiness.

This was Fulham: Mark Schwarzer; John Pantsil, Brede Hangeland, Aaron Hughes, Chris Baird; Clint Dempsey, Danny Murphy, Steve Sidwell, Damien Duff, Andrew Johnson, Mousa Dembele

I'm not sure what defence they've been playing but it's likely that the team will be almost identical, but with Zamora for Johnson. Bearing in mind they'll likely be playing the same midfield and we couldn't pass it through them then, we're gonna need that man Hatem Ben Arfa, especially considering that our tactics last time were long balls to Shola and Best, which didn't work because Hangelaand is a giant. All Shola did was smash his own cheek bone in.

It's a bit of a shame that despite our much improved team, with the players either injured or at the ACoN, we're not far off having this team again for the Fulham game.

In fact, if Cabaye is injured, one might argue that that team there is better than the one we will put out this weekend. I think the only added benefit is that the team as a whole unit is playing better football with more sharpened tactics, especially defensively.

I did mention the other day that he been seen looking less than pleased at the RVI with his foot in protective boot. I don't think he will play. I think Pardew might flood the midfield and hope we nick one from a set piece.

Hmm that could be just precautionary though to put his mind at rest. Boots are usually for broken foots too and we know its his ankle? Must admit I'm still not convinced.

Taylor was wearing one on football focus. They must just be to give general support to the whole foot/ankle area and prevent any unnecessary stress.

Oh well but I still think Cabaye will play tomorrow. Just my opinion as I feel the Derry thing was not that bad.

Yeah, I reckon probably Cabaye's pride more than anything that he went off. He must have felt like a bit of turkey after making such a fuss.

A bit like when Guthrie fell over at West Brom, leading to their goal, and pretended he was hurt.

As I say we've all been there and felt a bit silly later. Guthrie was a classic!

I have no doubt we will play 442

    ---------------Krul---------------
    ---------Willo-------Collo---------
    Simpson-------------------Santon
    ---------Guthrie--Gosling---------
    Raylor----------------------Jonas
    ---------Shola----Best-----------

Pardew will wanna keep it solid in the middle and we will be pumping balls up to Shola to mis-control again all game, still with that formation i reckon we could get a result.

Jonas - Gosling- Guthrie - Raylor is such a horrible midfield :emoticon-0119-puke:

If Cabaye's out hopefull Abeid will come in, I would put money on it being Perch though. Gosling would be next in line, then Abeid and maybe Vuckic.
