    This is for Decolinks -

So, nufc vs Safc, what are our first teams worth in comparison -

    NUFC

    Krul - 100k
    Simpson - 750k
    Taylor - Free (acadamy)
    Coloccini - 10.3m
    Santon - 5.3m
    Ben Arfa - 5.75m
    Cabaye - 4.5m
    Tiote - 3.3m
    Jonas - 6m
    Demba Ba - free (Bosman)
    Cisse - 10m (Rising too)

    Thats a grand total of - 46.1m

    SAFC

    Gordan - 9m
    Bardsley - 2m
    Brown - 2.5m
    Bramble - 1m
    O'Shea - 3.5m
    Larsson - Free (Bosman)
    Cattermole - 6m
    Gardner - 6m
    Sessegnon - 6m
    Ji - 2m
    Wickham - 12m

    Thats a grand total of - 50m

Our team must have been the bargain of the premierleague!!

They don't even use Gordon atm either so it's cheaper still.

Bruce was a **** manager but sometimes he got his spending spot on.

A few of our transfer fees are wrong there. We paid compensation for Jonas which was about half that. Cisse was either £7.5m or £9.5m depending on who you believe. Tiote's was slightly more and Cabaye's was slightly less but between them, they cancel eachother out.

You may say I'm nit-picking but the whole point of the thread is transfer fees, so it makes sense that they are correct. <ok>

    He is injured, yes.

I'm just saying, if you looked at the value of the current team, the one currently on quite a good run of form, you would find that the cost is lower still.

I reckon Norwich's team is pretty good for a bargain team like, but obviously they aren't up challenging for the top like.

You could add a bit of spice by comparing potential values now.... My estimations, including keeping signings with minimal game time at their bought for value (i.e santon, ben arfa, whickham, ji) showed that life really does suck being a mackem.

McClean has been a revelation on the left wing. Not bad for £300,000 I'd say.

Yeah, he's getting good reviews. Though from my limited knowledge of the Sunderland squad it can't be so hard being a revelation on your wings. Barton was a revelation on our right wing which to me says more about the lack of quality before him. Now we have Obertan. Care to swap?

    Westwood - Free (bosman)

    Bardsley - 2m
    Brown - 2.5m
    O'Shea - 3.5m
    Richardson 4.5m

    Larsson - Free (Bosman)
    Cattermole - 6m
    Vaughan - Free (Bosman)
    McClean - £300000
    Sessegnon - 6m

Wickham - 8.1m (12m is the total price IF he fulfills full England international and after 20 PL goals for us which he hasnt)

    Total £32.9m macximum £36.8 not £50m
Or if he plays Bendtner instead of Wickham then the loan fee was only £1m which brings the total down to £25.8m

My team is much more likely to start than the one you have put on here which makes our side much better value

Plus we paid nowt for Westwood who is preferred 1st choice keeper, Brown cost £1m, Wickham cost £8m, Ji doesnt start.

So the OP can knock £16.5m off our total.

We are 12th - you are 6 places above which will bring another 3-4m in prize money - yeah £20m is much better spent for an extra 4m prize money - IF you finish there - the only time you can actually write this article is at the end of the season as it shows nothing so far - our defence is better than yours and cost about the same as Coloccini did and has performed better over the course of the season so far so our defence has better value for money
