He played predominantly on the right, Raylor played in the middle with Guthrie. 4-2-3-1 is the best way I could describe the formation, but it was fairly loose.
 
Guthrie is good defensively like. He can put in a decent tackle. Ben Arfa CM wouldn't work. Because of his style of play he gets dispossessed at times and in that position it would put a lot of pressure on our defence.
 
I would do this:

Krul
Simpson - Williamson - Collo - Santon
Guthrie - Raylor - Jonas
Ben Arfa - Best - Ferguson​

I really think Ferguson should be pushing on into the squad now. Obviously I don't know how people are playing in training but based on his performances last year he deserves it. Hopefully he's bulked upa bit though!

This formation is really versatile as well. With that set of players we could play a 433, 442, 4411, 451 etc and lots of players can cover different positions meaning we can keep Fulham guessing and change our tactics if things aren't going to plan.

I don't see the need to play Shola and Best together. Fulham have CB's that are great in the air so we'd only be playing into their hands. However, we would have the option on the bench if we felt it necessary to play the long ball game.

Obertan to come on in the last 15 mins to run at tired legs and to keep their full back from pressing forward. Bring on Perch for the last 10 mins if we're winning to see the game out.

Not sure but I've seen him twice now and I'd happily put my head on the block and say he looks like a pint sized version of Cristiano Ronaldo.

I'd assume the midfield would be Jonas, Gosling, Guthrie and ...Ben Arfa (hopefully).

Although i wouldnt be opposed to Raylor playing that role instead of Gosling.
 
Hmm, having just watched the pre match press conferance i've lost hope of Ben Arfa starting...

He makes a point out of saying how hard it is going to Craven Cottage, so i reckon he'll play it safe with Shola and Best up front and a non-adventerous of Raylor - Guthrie - Gosling - Jonas
