I would have thought that Wolves are waiting on other clubs to see if they can get the player(s) they want before letting Hammill go so we would only up our offer once they reject it
As long as they haven't rejected our bid I suppose there is always hope but my gut feeling is we will not be seeing him in a city shirt this season
Time will tell. But Wolvers need to shift players out to get players in as there squad number exceed the allowed 25 in the PL. .
Hammill did himself no harm last night in that he may have persuaded Mcarthy to keep him or if he is to leave, he may get a better move now because I think he was wolves' best player
Agreed. After last night i would suggest that there are few others who are closer to the Wolvers Exit door than Hammill ? Wolvers look a poor team to me. There PL days could be numbered now and maybe better to wait for there summer fire sale.
They submitted 24 at the end of the last window. http://molineuxmatters.blogspot.com/2011/09/wolves-submit-squad-to-premier-league.html Other than Jonnson who have they signed?
To be honest on second thoughts our bid must be enough for them to let him go if the circumstances are right as they haven't rejected yet, and an offer that's too good to refuse we're just not up to paying for him I'd imagine, specially as we're not desperate and fairly strong in depth on the wings.
Seen on the BBC website: "Wolves winger Adam Hammill has emerged as a shock January transfer target for Wigan Athletic, claims the Wigan Evening Post. "
Time will tell. If we don't get him this window though we won't get him at all. When it gets to summer Wolves will be less resistant to selling to other PL clubs, and if they've come down will only sell to us if their finances are ****ed (unless we've gone up). EDIT: I've just noticed he's 23 at the moment. I don't know what the cutoff date is for the Olympics, but could he be one of the 184 players they sent letters to? He might push a move through to get games if he's interested in playing next summer.
I think Hammill himself will be reluctant to drop a division when he knows there's a fair bit of Prem interest in him.
