If Shola is on the pitch then him all day long. Never misses.

    Definately Cabaye.

He took them for Lille and is apparently a penalty taking specialist.

Nah, I'm in a mood with Cabaye at the moment. (I know)

He spent most of last night refusing the very generous contract I offered him on Fifa! Wasn't until the transfer window closed that I got him to agree. Now on the highest wages, which if you saw my team is a bit of a joke! lol

In seriousness though, I wouldn't mind either. They are both (and Cabaye) well known for their penalties. As stated by others, Shola is a great choice as well if he is on the pitch.

Edit: Wow! Just realised we would do quite well in a shoot-out if needed! Nice change

Why no Cabaye/Shola in the poll? Ba never took a penalty before he joined us, would let Cisse have them if he is a better taker.

I'd like Cabaye too, but I'd be happy with any three or Shola. I guess Cisse will take over them though at some point, unless Ba's on his usual hatrick...

I'm in favour of Ba at the moment, when he took the penalty at Old Trafford he was amazing, unfortunately I was with the home fans that game, the noise they made to intimidate Ba was thunderous. He totally held his nerve, my respect for him is immense.

We need the guy who can handle the most pressure. They're all great footballers who can aim a shot well, but it's the nerves which cause misses.

the only reason i didnt put shola/cabaye etc in the poll was because with our strongest side out, Ba will more than likely be taking them. However cisse is a canny pen taker.

Maybe they ll take it in turns?

Ba. He has done nothing to deserve to lose it.

Not convinced that Ba is a penalty taker. If I remember right he wasn't that keen to take the one at Stoke and even though it went in, it wasn't the greatest.

The penalty gave him his hat trick. Why wouldn't he have been keen?

I know it gave him his hat trick - but I seem to remember other players telling him to take it rather than him automatically going to grab the ball. Maybe because he was still a new boy and didn't know who had first dibs.

Never before as a Newcastle fan have I been confident of winning a penalty shoot out, but if we had Ba, Cisse, Shola, Cabaye & Lovenkrands (yes, I know but he never misses penalties either) on the pitch then I'd not fear the worst as usual :)

Agreed that is Shola is on the pitch, he takes but out of the new guys I'd say Cisse.
