    Why would Arsenal bid £18M if the release clause is around £7M? Or does that include everything else? This makes no sense.

    It's close. But, think the way Arsene has turned Arsenal into the brilliant passing team they are and turned players like Henry and Fabregas into world class stars is class. Fair enough, Fergie has done pretty much the same and won more, but they have spent a lot more than Arsenal and for Wenger to have never been outside the top 4 since he joined the club is just amazing really.
