I feel that they should use a ballot system for the west ham game. I am sure that many people will miss out on these tickets because they are not able to get to st marys on tuesday! They made the same mistake with the brighton game. Discuss

I think the game will be massively in demand so yeh i think you could be right, although i have been to 11 away games so i'd be confident of getting one, people who haven't been to many away games will probably disagree!

I reckon Saints don't think there will be an overloading demand, due to the fact that 1. It's on Valentines Day and 2. The incredibly high ticket prices (For a NPC game - £32 for Adults and £19 for Kids) We'll still sell out mind you.

Its also on Tuesday evening. If it was on Saturday then I expect it would have gone to a ballot

It says on the football ground guide website (http://www.footballgroundguide.com/west_ham_united/) that the intial allocation is usually 2200 but if there is greater demand the away fans can be given the whole of the North Stand lower tier which holds 3600. Do you really think we will sell more than that?
You can apply in person, over the phone or online.

West Ham have categorised us as a category B match. WTF?????? That is insulting!

Depends if that's a recent decision, or if it was taken before the season started. When we had that gold/silver/bronze system, I'm sure we announced which teams were which before the season - and if that's the case here, you could hardly blame West Ham for not making it a category A match.

But yes, as DTLW says, how much must they charge for Cat A?! £32 is steep enough. Has someone not told West Ham that they're not in the Premiership any more?

Wouldn't worry about being insulted if it makes the tickets cheaper.

We came up from L1 so why would they think of us as Cat A?

Looking at the West Ham website I think there is no Category A? I can't find any evidence of it anyway and the Millwall derby is Category B, as is every other game that tickets are on sale for. Don't ask me how this makes any sense because I have no idea.

Ballot is far too OTT and I would prefer the club to save money on administration costs. A Tuesday night game is enough to cut the numbers naturally. At least this time the club have given plenty of warning when tickets will be on sale and no doubt an announcement will be made at the Leicester game too. It was the lack of notice for the Bristol & Brighton games which annoyed me the most.

Nah, no ballot needed. Hopefully all the ST Holders don't swallow them all up, me and some guy called Dan need tickets.

Just brilliant... fans who've been to Burnley, Barnsley, Doncaster... will probably lose out to people who are going to their first or second away game (and what's the bet that the other game was Brighton?). The loyal fans who travel away losing out to the plastics.

basically... unless you have lot's of money and don't have any work to do and are willing to be up at 7am, you'll get tickets.

I guess us loyal travelling fans will have to listen to it on the radio.

thanks glory hunters... thanks a lot.

I understand your complaint but surely you can't describe Season Ticket holders as plastics can you?

Too right. I can't go to many away games being at uni and all, so I went to the brighton game while I was at home - so sue me :p

Yes you can class STH's as plastics compared with someone, like me, who has been to 9 nine away games and has a ST. SUre i deserve a ticket to west ham more than someone who is a STH and has only been to 2/3 away games!

The answer is surely an away ST, as a lot of clubs have. Perhaps SFC will do one if we go up?
