    Is it just me or does everybody seem to like us all of a sudden? People are praising us for our scouting and how we play well. Also I've seen other forums where they say 'I like watching Newcastle, I hope they get into Europe' I mean its nice that we aren't hated but is this all because of our form? And our players? It just hasn't happened recently, we are normally hated, especially in the media. *Cough* Lawro *Cough*

    What do you all think of our apparent new support from other clubs fans?

    I think it's just that other teams like to see a team mixing it up a bit towards the top of the table and giving some of the 'big boys' a fright. I've seen a lot of comments like 'I hope Newcastle can finish above Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool' etc. And I've seen some nice comments about how 'canny' Newcastle fans are :laugh:

    but yeah, had couple of similar comments. Think it's more based on their hatred of the top teams/each other though atm, we used to be a lot of ppls second team

    However, fans of the traditional 'top 6' teams all basically have their own rivalry with each other, so when we start mixing it up near there, these fans wish us on to take one of the top spots at the expense of another side. For example, I saw a post on the Arsenal forum where I guy said he would like to see us in the top 4 at the expense of Liverpool or Chelsea if Arsenal don't manage it themselves this season.

    Along side that of course, many people do like it when things get mixed up a bit.

    As other people said it's simply because we're a fresh face sniffing around the top 5 so they each want to see us knock one of their opponents out of there.

    Its just the people I've spoke to have started to say they want Newcastle to do well and they always try to watch them when they are on
