ESTEEM 5-2 ran the very well handicapped Johnny Owen very close on his latest outing. That was over hurdles and he is 9lb better in on the handicappers ratings over the bigger fences. Same pilot as last time takes a further handy seven pounds off his back and he is my idea of a knocking good bet. The price is dissapearing quickly with Ladbrokes now standing alone! This Esteem is an interesting selection and well handicapped. I tipped Johnny Owen up that day with the Appraise system and it was heart in mouth stuff with Esteem closing with every stride to the line. The stables in good form since the turn of the year and the jockey is well worth the 7lb allowance. Esteem should improve and goes best on soft. Many thanks for that Pretty Penny a couple of days back stick, someone mentioned you putting it up elsewhere and as i remembered your record from the old 606 i followed it to a small sum. I was late online that day so took 4's best odds and so was very pleased to see it return 6's. It's good to see you on here, i hope you will hang around as Ron has got everything running very nicely, we have many of the old faces and some new but it's all pretty friendly and a pleasure to visit. Looked to be going pretty well when he made the error and lost the jockey, interestingly it looks like its out again tomorrow in a 2m4f Nov Chase at Ludlow.
Would definately have been involved at the finish and although the winner did come away well, my suspicion is that it would have been very close between the two, Esteem was travelling with ease. I have had a very unlucky day actually as had summerstrum in the following race travelling nicely when fell and two at Kempton tonight Marjurra and Nacho libre both fast finishers that were perhaps given too much to do. It's just the way racing goes i guess.
Well done Stick, I hope you were on today. That performance i think makes clear that had he stood up the day before he would have won, he never had to even work to win that.
