If we could pull it off would be good, what I've seen of Ward, he looks a very good player, although I'm not overly confident we will pull it off because they are higher in the league than us and Ward is a homegrown talent and Pearce only went there in the summer. If it happens great but I'm sceptical that it will, unless Portsmouth are really really desperate to get money in.

PTC, money talks though. Being higher in the division means nothing. Only have to look at the likes of Kevin Nolan for proof of that.

Always makes me laugh when I see other fans say 'why would he join you we are three points ahead of you in the league'.

You would hope they look at the bigger picture and although they may be commited to Pompey that commitment may be tested if the club show they are happy for them to leave by accepting a bid.

However I can't see either coming in before we play Leeds, Clegg will need at least a week to figure out how to pick up the phone.

Anyone actually think we will have any new signings in time for Saturday, let alone before this window closes..?

Indeed Svendust you would say look at the bigger picture but is there really much difference between us in the bigger picture?? They may want to leave portsmouth if the rightclub came in and I hope with us that is the case but looks like a bit of a sideways step if anything but we shall see.

I doubt we will have much business done until the last few days. Infact I'm not overly positive that we will sign anyone on a permanent transfer before the end of the month, I think it will be frustrating and then Jewell panics and realises we won't get anyone in permanently and gets some more loans in!!

I wonder what sort of advice Norris is offering up?

It probably does seem like a bit of a sideways step, depending on what happens with Pompey in regards to an owner. However they could be thinking, this club is precariously balanced, doesn't really look like going anywhere fast, maybe at Ipswich with major financial backing, an experienced, proven manager (I know he hasn't been good so far) could be a better move for the future...Hope that's what they're thinking anyway haha!

Was wondering if there is anyone we have not been linked with so far this week.?

It is interesting that all bids have been turned down so far, is that because everbody knows how desperate we are, they asume we will come back with an improved offer & that Gleggs offers are typically unrealistic anyway.

Or maybe it is just that nobody is interested in coming here.?

£2,000,000 reportedly turned down by Crewe, how far will we go with this one? Ipswich seems an unlikely destination for such a highly rated lad, not that I have ever heard of him!

TWTD are reporting £1M bid for both Ward and Pearce. I know the first bid should be low but that's an insult to the pair of them!

Just for the record, pompey are not in admin and not in financial trouble. Yes we need a new owner, but we operate under the conditions placed upon us to exit last years admin with a CVA.

NO players NEED to be sold, appy has cleared out some ol timers to make way for new younger players, both ward and pierce are highly rateed by every one at our club..........you WONT get them....C'mon guys cant you see , this is just your crap manager sending out signals of desperation :1980_boogie_down:
