So, I'm presuming that Cisse and Ba are the two best strikers in the Senegal team. Therefore, will we be able to watch them as a striking duo during the ACoN?

Not only is it a good warm-up for when they come back to Newcastle, but it'll be awesome as hell to watch how they link up.

Plus it'll provide me with the only tenuous reason to watch the ACoN.

All of their best players are CFs, they also have Sow for example who will start a few games. I am looking forward to them playing together though.

Ba might play out the left to accommodate Moussa Sow in the team also??? Have no idea really. But I know he played out the left for West Ham a good bit. 3 great players Senegal have up front.

Their captain also plays up front, Mamadou Niang. They must rotate a lot, or play someone out of position.

They've got a couple of good players in other positions as well. Guirane N'Daw is too good for the Championship, Diame is a tank for Wigan, Diawara is still playing in the Champions League for Marseille and I've heard good things about Cheikh M'Bengue as well!

Agree that they will be more reliant on their strikers though.

Looking at the fact he's only played 11 games, I can only suppose it's been Demba who has been sacrificed to accomodate other players?

He was great, until he 'did a Gyan' and buggered off to Dubai.

I'll not be able to sleep easy until I know they have finished the tournament un-harmed and on their way back to SJP <ok>

I agree though, it will be a great chance to see how they might link up.

Cisse hasnt got many more caps to be honest. But then, Demba was apparently Hoffenheim's 3rd best striker, so not even an automatic call up.

We have officially taken over France and Senegal TV stations... Wish Senegal all the best for the ACN.

I'd leave Ba and Cissé on the bench if I was the Senegal manager <whistle>

That's good to know, I didn't realise Eurosport were covering the ACoN, I will set my Sky thingy to record it, I won't be home from Fulham until much later so I would have missed it. <cheers>
