Europe would be amazing. I still think Panathanaikos at the Vetch is one of the greatest atmosphere's/nights/games I have witnessed. Good to see our nearest challenger in that league is West Brom as the teams directly below us will qualify for Europe outright

It seems our coaches are doing their bit as they are showing the refs the most respect by far with a score of 109 and the players for respecting the ref the most with 118. Don't tell me that the officials don't take notice of that. Always beneficial when we get a 50/50 decision.

    WHO ARE WE?????

PS where is the fans behaviour scores on that league table??

The best thing is, the way it is panning out, is that we wouldn't need to come top! The position goes to the highest team in the league who are not in Europe already (i believe that is how Fulham were in this year even though Chelsea finished top, forgive me if I am wrong) and look who the other 4 in the top 5 are....Spurs Arsenal Man U and Man C :):):):):):).....Trip to Eastern Europe anyone??? :) lol

Hmm im torn on this one. Playing in Europe will be great for the players and will probably help us attract better quality players... But if you ask any Stoke fan I'm sure they will tell you that the extra games on a Thursday (with the prem games on the Saturday!) were nothing more than a distraction.
In fact im almost sure they lost every prem game after playing a European game?
It can be very hard on the players and if it puts us at risk of relegation due to tiredness then its a massive no go from me.

How many teams have been relegated after a European adventure exactly? I cannot think of any, and it has only made the players better. Lets not forget the likes of Charlton, Fulham, Bolton and Blackburn have all dabbled in the UEFA in recent years.

This is what being a fan is all about, lets not look how long we we able to squander our souls but remain rich. Better to burn out than fade away after all!

Lets trip the light fantastic and give ourselves something to talk to our grandkids about.

    MY PASSPORT IS READY!!!

Id love to see the Swans in Europe again, and how could we deny Europe the 'Welsh Barcelona'! 'Leeds-18', Leeds United and its supporters have become even more bitter and twisted over the years [i never thought that possible] and we all like to laugh at you.:laugh::laugh:

I heard that Man U and Chelsea are withdrawing from next season's Champions League, as they don't want their players playing too many matches. LOL. What utter drivel. The players deserve a chance of playing in a European competition. Why don't you ask that we are demoted to the Conference, as there won't be so much pressure on the players there. LOL.

Exactly. Glory is relative. For a small Club like ours a chance to win a trophy of international standing is a must. The more established Prem clubs understandably sniff at it but we shouldn't.

    Yes, Daiswan is right.

So now I'm going to print this screen to commemorate the event. <laugh>

Cant understand for a moment why people would class the chance of Europe as a no go. Seeing as Stoke is being used as an example lets actually look at Stoke this season.

    1. Even though they may have lost every game after the extra game they are sitting in 8th on 30 points (4 points above us)...nowhere near at risk of relegation...they are more likely to qualify through league position than go down.
    2. Their squad isn't much bigger than ours and in the Europa League they only lost 1 game and their fans now have an amazing trip down to Valencia, which is an amazing city
    3. The extra income and status will help them attract even better players next season!

WHY WOULD PEOPLE NOT WANT THIS!!!!

There is no real hope of the Swans getting to Europe via the Fair Play League, because there are only 3 places available, and those go to the countries at the top of the Country Fair Play League.

Up to 31 Dec 2011, Norway, Finland and Netherlands are the top three. England are 10th. So for Swans to qualify, the first thing that needs to happen is that England need to get into the top 3. Fulham qualified last year because England came 2nd.

There is no automatic qualification from the Premier League Fair Play Table.

That's my understanding of the rules.

    Latest country table --> http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/news-template.html?120116.

Yeah you're right your country needs to finish in the top three! I hadn't been able to find anywhere showing the European league tables. Gutted!
