Well done boys for the victory tonight! but some players are looking well past their sell by date.
Shaun Derry for the second game running has looked like he is on another planet, he's not on his own but by far the biggest culprit at giving the ball away and not quick enough to be closing down.( i admit they were slightly over run in the middle, but still!)
Bothroyd is another that i have defended in the past but i am struggling to find the will to keep encouraging him, he slows the pace of the game down nearly all the time.
Most of the others done ok although the need for a commanding centre half is obvious for all to see.
Small positive was Macheda's work rate although he never actually threatened the goal but never got the service either.

    Thoughts please

Thought Buzsaky was getting better, until he tired, SWP for the first time seemed to ok in the middle, Luke Young was his usual self, didn't make much of the rest, but as they say......a win is a win is a win.

Heading home from the game. Yes we won but absolute rubbish up to the goal and a bit better afterwards. Overall we are a team in deep trouble lacking quality everywhere. We need players in urgently or it's down we go!

Proud of the lads, was never going to be pretty turning our abysmal run around. And to kill our FA Cup hoodoo and keep a clean sheet in the process makes me a happy man. Don't think this win should be underestimated and belittled even though the opposition where a League One team.

On the match I think we looked leggy and took time to build momentum in both halves. We were the better team, MK the most dangerous team.
Many players below the level required, nothing new there. But at the same time I feel we have gained a new player within our ranks since Hughes' arrival, Akos Buzsaky grows better for each passing minute and will def partner Barton against Wigan. Finally we threaten on set pieces again, even SWP got an assist from one!

Fantastic free kick by Buz that led to the corner we scored on, and very happy for Gabbs. Said it before, i rate him higher than Ferdinand and he showed it again who's best of the two. Ferdinand run ragged by Ibehre.

Hill, Derry, Mackie, Smith should be scrapped. And if any of them start games on a regular basis after the 1st of february were certian to go down.

But tonight I'm a happy man and I will cherish this win until Wigan.

Agree with most Norway. we make too many straight runs and no clever movement. Hughes will see a difference when Taraabt is back

for the size of our squad we had nobody to replace a knackered Derry in midfield. totally overun most of the 2nd half, with liabilities all over the park. stating the obvious but major surgery required.

Derry, I love him, tries so hard but now too little avail. So please don't slag him off, let him go quietly with thanks.

Not sure how SWP got man-of -the-match, was I watching a different match....Buz got better but tired, Clint started strongly and tired but two matches in three days.... Mackie will only get better under Sparky, Betty was better too....but why is there never anyone in the box ever (when Helgar isn't playing)....why do they all hover around the wings
But for the future player we want is the MKDons/Spurs full back Smith...but that will be for next season, I suppose.

It will get better....but will it be in time.....(for Saturday)

Why does friggin Mackie never get any stick??... Stop saying 'he will get better' He works hard' 'He puts a shift in!'. ITS NOT ENOUGH!. He just runs and runs without any clue as to what he is going to do.Hes got no pace, very little flair or skill, hes not a winger and not a striker,so what does he do??. I doubt weather he would have even got into that MK team!. Mackie,Derry,Hill,Smith, etc are pants.Until we get the new faces in soon,I just get so bored of watching the above players. Young,Gabbidon,SWP looked ok,but the rest are so slow and clueless above championship level. Im off to bed..grrr

That performance was utter toilet, our passing is abysmal, there's no pace,no movement off the ball,it's just hoof it high into the sky and wait for it to come straight back at our so-called defence.I have seen some dire performances in the past but this one actually made me angry.Apart from Kenny,Young,Ferdinand and Helguson the rest of the team should be playing in the Championship at best.If a league one team can pass us off the park like this i just can't see us beating another Premiership team!We have to bring in player's immediately,if we don't manage to beat Wigan i can't see a way were gonna survive!

QPR boss picks up his first victory in Loftus Road hot-seat

Mark Hughes was delighted to pick up his first win as QPR manager on Tuesday night, with the MK Dons seen off in an FA Cup third-round replay.

The Rs were pushed hard by their third-tier opponents, with there little to choose between the two sides for much of the contest.

In the end, a solitary effort from Danny Gabbidon was enough to see the Premier League side safely through and end their 11-year FA Cup hoodoo.

The defender's first goal in almost seven years helped QPR to book a fourth-round date with capital rivals Chelsea and allowed Hughes to open his Loftus Road account.

"It was important to get that first win," he told the club's official website.

"I'm told the FA Cup hasn't been kind to QPR in recent years, but it's a competition I've enjoyed throughout my career and I've always treated it with the respect it deserves.

"I was mindful of that tonight, but first and foremost it was important we got back to winning ways and we did that. I'm sure we'll build on that performance going forward."

    Schedule

Hughes added: "Given the fact that we hadn't been able to get a win on the board for a number of weeks it was important we got a result tonight.

"In fairness to the players, it was always going to be a big ask given the schedule of playing two games in three days.

"I think you could see that in some of our play. We huffed and puffed at times, but fair play to the lads, they got the result and we're in the next round, which we haven't been for a number of years."

On a meeting with his former employers Chelsea at the next stage, Hughes said: "The prize is a big one now, coming up against Chelsea, but the league is the priority this weekend.

"We'll only start thinking about Chelsea once we've got the Wigan game out the way on Saturday."

The guys were tired and this was the cup. It will be different on Saturday (I hope...). Come on U Rrrrssss!!

There have been a lot of games that we have lost whilst playing well - and this one we won whilst playing poorly. It is a turning point...

I thought we did ok in first half by pressing them and not allowing them to play, was getting annoyed every time boothroyd got ball slowed done game and more often than not passed backwards, also worrying that on attacking corners we commit so many in box that could have been majorly punished on break and most slow to get back.
Think we had lucky escape tonight but hopefully win will give them bit of confidence.
We miss faurlin but I think buz did ok but obviously not fit enough to last game

We played more games last season and didn't play badly. Excuses already eh? If we were tired why we're they pushed so hard with their intensive training programme? Most of our players are not going to improve, an average age of the team tonight was over 29 ffs your not going to change these championship level players in premier players no matter how good a coach you are. Trouble is everyone knows we need to bring players in during the jan transfer window, there are no bargains to be had, let's get on and do what's necessary. At this rate we may be looking a The Four Year Plan part two, starring Tony Fernando as the incredible baulk.

Most of the players were terrible. Mackie, SWP, Bothroyd, Derry, Hill.

The good news is surely Hughes realises how bad they are but the bad news is Im sure Bothroyd is his favourite and will start no matter what. Our set pieces were fantastic and weve done exactly what I said we should do, hit them in with pace and drop them in-between the posts. Id prefer to see Buz on the wing Sat if Hughes decides to go with Barton and Derry in the middle.
