our strikeforce has been pretty effective so far this season and does not need improvement. perhaps add an additional striker in the summer if by all means necessary but right now i think we're throwing money away if we're to buy a striker! lets sit on the money.

Ba's starting to look good.
Best has been good but im not sure if he'l keep up his current goal scoring record.
Ameobi's hillariously inconsistent.
Lovenkrands is past it.
Then there's the youngn's, not sure if any of them would be good enough atm to keep us going for a top 10 finish if a couple of injuries were to inflict us.

 

The 'youngn's' indeed, sammy will gradually need first team appearances, with the in form but s*** strikers we have I believe sammy has a great platform in which to grow. If we decide to populate our strikeforce, sammy will struggle to even see the bench, then he'll go out on loan, then get frustrated, then slowly disintegrate. I understand the logic of getting another striker for the sake of improving on our position in the league but i'm not sure spending 7m or 10m on a striker is the right thing to do. Seems like a waste.

If however we buy a cracking striker like Sow or Messi(XD just an example), then of course pursue the option, players like maiga however i think will complicate things.

Right, i must contradict myself i've just realised that Ba will be f****** off to play in the african cup of nations thing in jan, so maybe you have a point. ^_^ perhaps we should get someone out on loan with a view to a permanent deal?

Bottom line is we do not let anything hinder the development of Sammy.

 

Looking at Cisse as a possible signing back in October, certainly would have been my choice of the strikers actually linked in the press, nearly passed out when I got home from work tonight and turned on ssn and saw him at Darsley Park!

If there is a footballing god then I pray to him to get him signed tonight!!!!!!

I know thought he was going to Sunderland, even asked a Sunderland fan last night what he thought of their new striker . Got a good feeling about this guy even though I don't know much about him, also said the same about Cabaye.
