kk a few mugs on here , i'm tired had a long day at work. Plus thought I saw alot more people slagging him off.
aha fair enough you may be right just seems sometimes a small minority get more recognition than they represent if you get what I mean (long day for me too!)
Yooung, keen, highly rated and hopefully very talented. I can't wait to see him in action. Not speaking English doesn't worry me, Papa Waigo didn't speak English, neither did Guly when he first came. There must be loads of players coming into the country that don't speak English. It's a shame there won't be an option to buy, but I'll have no complaints if he gets us promoted.
People doubt because they have never heard of him and he has no major track record, plus the Hooper situation is still fresh and this guy is only on loan. Put it this way. Spurs won't have signed him for no reason. They want him with us because they see the potential in him and us. This is a really good move. If we get a premiership quality striker now then fantastic but in this league and in January it will be difficult to attract the right man without shelling out a fortune. Ask Leicester and West Ham how hard it is! I think Adkins will be happy with out attacking threat - top scorers in the league with Lee and Falque on the bus, Lambo to come back refreshed and with fire in the belly and others like Chaplow and Steve that will want to push on! Therefore I'm content with our options now as it could lead to us making a much better signing in the summer and a more reasonable price.
I agree. Still can't get over the fact we were bought out by a foreigner who didn't speak English as his first language and he put an Italian in charge of the club. Imagine that! A English club run by a swiss family and an Italian.........Then they go and buy a Portuguese and Dutch centre backs. If we had a Brazilian in the team that would really take the biscuit..............
Fonte and Guly will be able to communicate with him. Fonte probably speaks spanish as well as portuguese, and the languages are closely related anyway. Falque playing here could help to spread our reputation of being a side you would want to play for, because he's going to love the football we play. Good move.
It is no coincidence that the players raised their game on Saturday knowing that players are going to be coming in this month. They knew Lee was on his way and if Falque continues the effect of getting players to keep raising their game and be competitive for places then that is fine by me. Add to that and the return of Lambert and Chaplow and it is looking very positive.
fancy rednapp letting a new signing come to saints ,surprised the rednapp bashers havnt picked up on this,,,personally think this signing is ok and a pretty safe bet ,no outlay bar wages and a possible top signing for last part of season,,remember all those knockers of hooivelt when he came on loan,,
Just imagine if our best ever player wasnt even born in britain and was eligible to play for france would just be too much.
LOL how could I forget about him! I also can't believe that we tolerate a no 4 that speaks with a strong gallic accent. BAN HIM FROM THE TEAM! English only please. And while we're at it new English owners...these foreigners are taking all our jobs............ (that is irony for those who are taking this seriously)
Having just played with him on FIFA I can confirm my opinion of him has changed after he scored for me It was a tap in but a goals a goal
Just taken a trip to spurs board, a few very nice comments about our youth system and are delighted to see falque maximize his development with us!
Brilliant signing When this was mentioned last week I didn't take much notice because I couldn't see how we could loan a player who was already on loan. But with Spurs buying him it has allowed us to get him for the rest of the season. I see this as a masterstroke by Nigel and Nicola, think of a left footed Lallana and you wont be far wrong. We have lacked someone from the right hand side who can go past people and cut in to wip quality left footed crosses in to the box (similar to what Lallana does on the other wing). I see him fitting in perfectly with our passing style of play. Very excited we have got him.
