Interesting, although the words 'walking' and 'tightrope' come to mind.

I thought Pardew wanted to play passing football.

They didn't have the whole article, only as an image and I can't really be bothered to use the OCR software.

    Here's what I did get from L'equip:

Hatem Ben Arfa, the enfant terrible of French football as he is portrayed in England, he would eventually drive a bleeding heart? In any case the feeling that emerges from the interview he granted on Monday in L'Equipe. Particular, we learn why the young man (24 years) has "done terrible things in (his) career, coming out of the ordinary, good morals, things related to (his) attitude more than (his) words and did not like about (him). "Extremely lucid about his situation, the Newcastle player tells how he got there, the fault of his "arrogance" and "impulsive."

"I know now manage my instincts"

"Looking back, I understand that could take me for someone confident. I exuded something negative, I had bad energy. (...) I was a victim of my impulsivity said the French international. Drives, I still from time to time, but I know now manage. I am calm. "Newcastle player has said he" lacked generosity in life. ""My father did not know extérioser feelings. But I do not want him, "said Ben Arfa.

After nearly being enlisted in a cult, it is now away from all these negative things that have polluted the beginning of his career. His only fear now, "not having enough time to do all that I have to do, not being able to show my worth.".

There was also another interview where he said in 2008 he was looking for spirituality and was brainwashed into sufism or something like that. He was ordered to kiss someones feet and was told everyone else was an enemy. French journalist Phillipe Auclair posted the link on his twitter.

It sounds as if Pardew is deliberately leaving him out to, in a weird way, get the best out of him and it looks as if Ben Arfa actually respects him for it. This interview has pretty much destroyed any argument Bano has had about Ben Arfa <laugh>

We looked so much better with him on the pitch yesterday, that 4-5-1 looked pretty good and we looked solid. I would go the same system against Fulham, just minus that fella who played up top

Theres a properly translated version of this kicking about on twitter, if this is just a googled version by the way.

Seems a bit dodgy how Pardew is telling everyone to 'centre it into the box' constantly and playing direct football, considering how much he banged on about the passing game earlier and persuaded Cabaye to join in order to achieve this passing game.

Although, i think whenever we have Shola in it HAS to be direct. As he only holds it up. So its probbaly just an in progress team really... **** gonna miss my bus. This wont make sense.
