http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7l2bamtIYU&feature=player_embedded Someone on OTIB just posted this.. Easy to forget how good he has been for us!
Before his injury I'd have said with certainty he'd be a success in the Prem. He was top scorer with incredibly poor support and every other goal was an absolute cracker. Sure, he's got more time in this league, but honestly - it's marginal. Part of me hopes he might sign a new contract and we'll see the best of him again...
I like Maynard and think he might well thrive with the football we play - but the price would have to be right.
He may need time to step up like DG did so may be good later on, or maybe take to it like a swan to water all depends on how much coin & player involved in the deal to bother finding out !
yes maynard would be a good player that will give danny, lita and moore some serious competition that will keep everyone on their toes......each striker has their own qualities that can be used for individual teams according to the way they play......
Can't see this coming off, seems the deal is a pig in a poke, if you ask me! Sooner go for Emnes......... please log in to view this image
I reckon offer a sensible fee and he would be yours, the city fans are getting mighty peed of with his lack of effort on the pitch, not to mention goals.
that sort of behaviour is not exactly good on his CV if he wants to 'step up' to the Prem! Enough primadonnas in football already and I don't think BR would take kindly to that.
