At last, Official confirmation. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-F...joshua-king-move-to-hull-city-confirmed.aspx?
True. 2.30 into the interview. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16563194.stm? Still, good to get official club statement, even if only yet from the other side.
I wonder if this is more of a trial than a first team signing. I just can't see who he'd displace, Fryatt is blowing coldat present but we all know what he's capable of and inevitably will come up with soon. McLean just looked fantastic in the last 20 minutes versus Posh as the lone striker and I'd love to see him there at the weekend, he also needs to be on the pitch as he's our only outlet capable of holding the ball up, winning headers and picking up on clearances. Stewart need I say any more? And Brady is fantastic and looks to be picking up a bit again. So where the hell is the lad going to play?
Good news and glad that the paper trale has finally ended. Needs to get fit and ready to play in the Crawley Town game on saturday week. He should rip creepy Crawley to pieces. Yay. Lol. Welcome to Hull City Josh. Another good addition to Nicks arsenal of weapons.
I think he will displace fryatt and mclean. The guy is a man mountain with pace and skill as long as he stays injury free and show composure in front of goal he will be in the first XI Stweart---King---Brady/Mclean Is very exciting
Stewart, Koren, Hamill King is more exciting. Then you've got Brady, McLean, and Fryatt for 2 spots on the bench, or due to our lack of cover defensively all 3 of them with Dudgeon (covering left back and holding midfield, with Evans moving to cover the rest of the defence) and a keeper.
Just thinking about the team that Nick could play against Creepy Crawley Town on saturday week. Vito in goal (not sure if Carson can play in cup ?) East Chester Cooper Dudgeon Olifinjana Cairney Garcia(c) Brady King Simpson looks very strong to me and should still be far to good for Crawley. Then 9 outfield players can all be rested for the Doncaster home league game 3 days later. Donny wont have a game that weekend either.
I think he'll just be used in rotation between stewert,Brady and McLean dependent on Whose playing well
in the loaned Manchester United forward stakes, let's hope he is more Fraizer Campbell than Manucho! after getting back from the match Saturday I was having a swift half at the local. we got onto City and there were comments on the number of young ex-Man U players (& loans) we have on the books. the consensus was that it is a great scheme to deprive Man U of up and coming young talent and should be applauded by supporters of other clubs everywhere.
Fryatt strikes me as a player who needs the occasional break for a refresh and then will come back into the team stronger. we have been persisting with him when he is obviously struggling.
Like with any transfers - there is a risk of failure, however loaning & buying Man U youngsters is going to bring more success than failure IMO
To be fair, we haven't had anyone else! Hopefully Josh King can remind Matty how to control a football and put it in the back of the net
I'm not sure how Nick can get the best out of Fryatt. He isn't scoring and against Ipswich and Peterborough McClean has looked good up front. With most players a spell on the side-lines helps them to refocus and fight for their place but it seems to have the opposite effect on him. I remember the Leicester fans saying that when he was displaced from their team by Waghorn and Howard he didn't want to know.
east? no. east will be gone in the summer I am sure. rosenior will play. the only reason he didnt play in last game was that Macca was in the shop window
Fryatt was dropped by NP earlier in the season I believe? He came back stronger if my memory serves me correctly
