a record 6th away loss for the first time in the clubs history........... http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com//05032011/63/re-dogfight-pulis.html Yeah but he got us in the premiership didn't he so he must be the messiah, nothing at all to do with the fact that we have a chairman that wastes more money than an international Columbian drug baron money launderer. I'm kind of fed up of reading TP got us here so we should all be grateful, I think any other half decent manager with the funding and backing of Coates could have done the same and even made us progress. 3 seasons on our football is worse than the first term, we are losing even more games away, his tactics are woeful and substitutions even worse, he has no man management skills, he still freezes out players he has a beef with, still picks his favourites over more skilfull players, still plays the same game plan every bleedin game and now is starting to divide the Stoke faithful. I will be interested to see how the season ticket sales go this year! Coates will never get rid of Pulis even if he takes us down, so the best thing we can hope for is that he does one at the end of the season, because I'm sorry guys even if he keeps us up and we win the FA Cup, we will still be playing this garbage next season because that is the only way he knows and he is too negative to be in football. You have to ask yourself who was the real brains over the past couple of seasons, was it really Peter Reid? Because Pulis clearly does not have a clue!
Well i'm not renewing mine. Paying ã379 for that tripe is not a financially good decision, plus there's my brother's wedding in July, still got to pay my way for my room, my suit, drinks. Also i'm going on holiday in September to Athens with my other brother, fulfilling a childhood dream of seeing the Parthenon. So you can see it's not in my best interests to have a season ticket next season. I might go to the odd cup game, depending on the price.
Coates needs to have a re-think. Pulis OUT and i've tried to defend him but you cannot defend the defenceless, and we need someone like Hughton to come IN! Thank you Tone but you've done all you can for us.
Waddo when will you realise you cannot slate tony pulis, because look at this thread they all go into hiding, or say KTF we will talk about it in the summer. I bet the pulis lovers on here only started going to Stoke when we got to the prem, so they could see the BIG 4 without waiting for tickets. IF they were proper fans then they would realise, that as a football team under pulis we are only going in 1 direction, unfortunately that is not up the league.
Not O'Neill, it would be dreadful,, he wastes just as much with money but the thing with him is he has more of a voice and it's his assistant John Robertson that actually gets them playing, he's the man but I really like Hughton Tom, such a cracking coach, has morals and can mix it up, that is what we need. O'Neill left Villa because he wanted more money and Lerner thought he'd spent enough which he had. He wasn't that good at Celtic either, you can look at results but the fact of the matter is that he's wasted so much money and if it wasn't for the talented players that he's had to play at every club he's been at, the supporters would've been on his back due to WASTING such an amount that he's had to spend, I don't rate him as a manager what so ever. A step up from Pulis? NO. Someone exactly in the Pulis mould? I'd have to agree. That is my opinion though.
I don't think you can tar us all with the same brush. I have supported Stoke all my life, not just when we got promoted, and as many people say I'm one of those 'KTF types' - Just because I like to keep the faith doesn't mean I think everyone is bloody fantastic, I mean Mama, I slate him, and Eidur! I have seen Tony's managerial patterns deteriorate recently, but I still think he is and has been a top manager. Sometimes it's not the manager's fault if its a bad loss, its the 11 men out on the pitch, yes?
I do agree O'Neill has been wasteful, I mean what was it he spent on Ashley Young? ã10m? But I think he plays a similar way to us already so I think we wouldn't have to adjust too much and he would get us more organised than we are now and REALLY settle us at this level.
well that's not exactly fair. I mean, I've supported Stoke all my life but only in the past few seasons have I been able to go to a few games each season because of my age. And if we're only going in one direction which is it - because so far it's up. I'm not a TP faithful, I'll call for his head if he doesn't keep his word and some of the tripe we've had to watch had been just that - tripe. Am I not a true supporter because of my KTF attitude? What about when we were in division 2? Did you guys not KTF that we'd do well again? That it wouldn't get worse? True supporters are the ones who no matter what, back the team and chairman AND manager. So yes, I am one of the KTF troop, because can you really be a Stoke fan without that?
