Ameobi has a worse scoring record than Heskey...

How can you defend him?

Sure hes a lovely bloke and loyal etc but hes also lazy and not very good...

yesterday a couple of people said they thought ameobi was better than best, im just baffled, that viewpoint is completely indecorous.


Well done Besty, hopefully you have shut up some of the idiots saying you are not good enough and i hope we buy a new striker now, Shola is dead to me, his total lack of effort on the money he earns is sickening.

 

Ameobi isn't a starter but he can do a job at times, and we wouldn't be the same without him

 

This Shola is and has always been awful but he is our player and I love him for that

 

Shola is one of the most infuriating players I've ever seen. He has the ability, but not (almost ever) the inclination. Sometimes he looks like he could be a world beater, in the next passage of play, the ball could be six feet away and he doesn't even try to get it. He could have been a great player if he wasn't such a lazy git.

 

Honestly i wish everyone would shut up with the Shola threads .. we understand he didnt play well, we understand he is lazy and over rated .. We dont need about 6 threads telling us this.

Eh? I must of completely missed something today... I thought Shola had a good game until he ran out of steam at the end and could ONLY hold it up but not run anywhere. IF Best wasnt injured Gosling would have came on for Shola obviously.

Other than i thought some of his hold up play and little touches were brilliant today.

 

He did hold the ball and play a few nice lay offs but he also mistimed his touches and lost the ball alot aswell, he was clean through at the end but he took a huge touch and it went out for a corner. Morever his general workrate and lack of drive is what we complain about.

Its the lack of quality AND the lack of effort.

 

I firmly believe that stats can tell a story and obviously NUFC do to which is why all our players wear those orange vests in training. I wonder if they take note of this particular stats that I noticed on twitter after today's game

 

Yeah that chance at the end irritated me... Especially when he just gave up and let it run out of play and took ages to get back onside too.

He started the game well by actually chasing things down as Leon Best does, but he seemed to run out of steam early. I still think overall he held the ball up nicely. He's not bad for a 3rd/4th choice forward though... the club are obviously on the look out for someone else anyway.

Leon Best really impresses me with how he charges defenders/keepers down, his initial ball control and his first touch, how he's able to make that yard of space from nothing. Its just his final touch that disappoints.

 

Hang on, didn't he get the assist for Best's goal?

 

they both have a rate of 4.5 games per goal.. heskey has played twice as many games as ameobi has and has been more of a first teamer so you cant actually say he is "worse"

Until last night (timezone) I was a bonafide Shola supporter. Loved him for being always there for the club and having a nice attitude.


But after that? ****ing lazy twat. He plays for Newcastle United. Act like it. Actually move more than 10 metres in one go at a speed that might compete with a tortoise.

That final cocked up touch just made me lose it with him.
