So what rating would people that were at the game give Chris Foy?

I thought he had another stinker and he could have given three red cards in the first half alone. QPR were kicking lumps out of our guys and he didn't turn a hair, even when it happened right in front of him. QPR used to be a footballing team but if Hughes is going to send them out to play the way they did today they won't be winning any friends and they'll be losing some of their personnel due to the red cards they'll get off a ref who's on the ball and not on the take.

The guys seem to understand each other and know where to put the ball almost without looking, some great long passing and almost always on target. I thought we played some really good stuff and were well worthy of the win and the three points.

QPR certainly playing like a Mark Hughes team....kick the opponents ****less.

Foy wasn't that bad, I've seen much worse.

I thought it was a good referreing display. Kept play going and didn't give a lot of soft free kicks which I like.

By the letter of the law , Derry should have been off.

I don't think anyone should've been sent off, Foy was poor though and generally in their favour. Guthrie got absolutely battered on the edge of the area and he gave nothing. Ray Wilkins "Chris Foy got that one right, he was going for the ball", but he didn't ****ing get the ball did he Ray. Gutierrez got taken out in a similar position as well and nothing was given. Two blatant corners that were given as goal kicks as well, I don't normally complain about decisions that marginal but they were so obviously wrong. Looked like a pen to me as well. The angles they showed immediately after were inconclusive, but real time it looked stonewall, Jonas and the others around it seemed convinced and the QPR player hesitated guiltily. Need to see it again really, they probably omit from the MotD highlights.

I still dont understand why their corners were being taken off the pitch without anything being said...

Derry probably should have been sent off, but the other tackles were yellow cards, Bothroyd's looked bad but it was just a case of Santon being too good/quick for him.

If you're on about the handball it didn't look like a pen in the replays, had his arms by his side and hit the edge of his chest.

If referees actually applied the dissent rule as they should do, like rugby referees, the game would be so much better.
Yes, Cabaye would have been booked, but QPR would have had at least one player sent off.

I'll be honest I haven't seen a replay of it yet but in real time it didn't look a red card to me.

This. I hate it when players moan to the ref. IMO referees should be given more power to book people for dissent and only the captains and those involved in an incident should be able to discuss it.

The thing is they have the power, they just don't use it for whatever reason.
This, along with post-match punishment for diving, would go such a great way to improving the game.

This, and also doesn't every player go for the ball. Shows how incompetent Wilkins is.

I thought he officiated a good game? They were deserving yellows in the first half, but I didn't think any deserved straight reds. Plus they were spreading the **** tackles out between the 10 of them and besides Derry's quick run of them, I didn't think any players really accumulated many.

you asked for a rating ? well I would give him a 4

he just looked like he was going through the motions
didn't want to be too controversial and gave a yellow for a worse tackle
than when he gave a red to Kompany, his descision making was somewhat slower than Shola

oh! and you could defo see a Mark Hughes team here - if the ball beats you the player doesn't

Did okay for me, yellow for Derry was fine. Our fans were screaming for blood every foul but there were only about four in the first half hour. Nothing really controversial, didn't really notice him which is how you want it.
