Surely this is all the evidence required that we need another striker.

If Demba gets injured for any legnth of time (I quote "ticking time-bomb") we only have Best of any real quality to fall back on. And he is very hot and cold.
Shola has shown once more his qualities as a doorstop today.
If Best gets injured in January were fecked.
Sign a striker.
Anyone.

Shola has been truly woeful today. To be fair he's won his share of headers, but hasn't done anything with them when he's got it to feet. That and he's completely static, like he's glued to the floor.

 

That was the most annoying win I've ever seen. If I were rating the players, Shola would actually get negative points - he was a complete waste of space that could have been filled with somebody who actually gives a ****.

 

Ameobi was as bad as he's ever been today. And when he's that ****, I hate him more than any other of our players.

 

Would have rather played anyone who was on the bench today that Shola. New striker is suddenly a priority again

 

We do really need someone. We can't afford to let this great season go sour by Ba getting injured when he comes back and relying on Shola and Best.

 

Need a striker in before the next game to be honest. What with Lover and Sammy both out, and Ba not here, we need someone else to rely on other than Shola and Best!

Honestly I would rather have Prior given a go than play Shola. At least the lad would have a go especially if we are not going to buy anyone. Anything is better than Shola. That once in a blue moon half decent game does not warrant him playing regularly. We know his next good performance will be against the Mackems but we are talking about 4 or 5 good performances a season and if we want to move on we need shot of him, no more sentimental nonsense - he's rancid and we don't need him.

what really pisses me off is pardew says he dosnt play benny is because he dosnt put enough effort in going back but on todays performance he was at 100 times the work rate shola was and acctually looked our most likely to score other than best!

 

Yeah. Then he got injured I think didn't he? Played against Stevenage then we never saw him again until he went on loan to Hibs!

 

Shola really doesn't give a ****, does he? Strolls around like he's gone for a walk in the park. If we didn't win I'd be fuming at him.

 

I though Shola played quite well in the first half, but in the second half he was crap.
