He played for us at the start of the season so he isn't eligible to play for another club any way. More lazy journalism.

Some journalism really makes me cringe. You'd have thought the Journo's and their papers would at least do some research looks even slightly credible!

Usual media tripe. Change of management, lets focus on the guys who usually give us a story. Having a very good season and they seem fairly ambitious. If they can survive this year they'll get the chance to build. Time will tell if he made a good move.

I reckon he will probably leave in the summer. Just a feeling I have.

If West Ham do get promoted, then I can definitely see him joining up again with Allardyce (who brought him here in the first place) and Nolan. I don't think Hughes rates him.

He never said it was his dream move did he? He was basically told to go and find himself a new club.

Aye, I remember that even on the day he signed the contract he said that it was a situation that he was resigned to accepting.

I could be wrong but was it Hughes that sold Barton from city? Or had Barton already left by then?

In all fairness I dont think he's doing too bad for QPR from what i've seen - although I do believe he made a big deal of his departure with the whole campaign against the board and such.

Or he could, you know, have sucked it up and signed a new contract.

By that point the contract offer wasn't there anymore.

Then he could have tried to justify it being put back on the table. He just decided to take the easy way out. Big club my arse. <laugh>
