Ok I know he is now 34, but does anyone else think he could do a stopgap job for us up front? He is only getting to sit on the bench for Bolton, N'gog preferred for some reason! (Jesus did we miss a bullet there, when it was rumoured Bruce wanted N'gog!) Davies is one of the best forwards I have seen doing the holding the ball up role, that we know MON likes. I think we could get him for very little and imho would be more use than Bendtner.
nah, cannot get in the Bolton team and his form has been poor this season Would rather play Bendtner or Wickham even Ji than waste money on Davies
I dont think we need a target man Wickham can be our target man. If we are going to sign a forward i would rather bring in a proven goal scorer like Cisse (Not sure who posted about him earlier i think it was poolie) he was exellent for us & with the style of football we are playing under MoN he could score for fun.
I don't think he would fit into our style of play and he has also well past his best, so I would have to so no...
No can't get in the Bolton team who are crying out for a goalscorer and doesn't score enough goals. We need a goalscorer who can do a job for us long term not a stop gap who might get us a few goals till the end of the season.
Whickham will soon dislodge Bendtner, and go on to be a big player for us. No need to buy another target man (although I agree Davies has had a great career, bar Blackburn...)
If he cant do a job for Bolton who play more to his strengths than we do then apart from being a good leader on the pitch and seems to be a top bloke i cant see any improvement being made with him
Nolan chicken dance mk2... Westwood on loan? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nderland-set-make-fresh-bid-Kevin-Davies.html
Yes from me MR, why, well I just want movement to improve our goal scoring but I know I'm not clever enough to know how best to do that. If we are to shout about trusting MON, backing MON, having faith in MON then surely it follows to say whoever MON thinks will improve is is who we go for.
Looks like he's going to sign a new deal with Bolton now. It's funny how players always end up smelling of roses.
How much can Wickham learn from someone like Davies? A lot IMO.. I think he'd be good for us personally with bendtner out for a while we need cover According to Coylr, the ball is in Davies court: http://www.clicklancashire.com/spor...nds-insists-bolton-wanderers-boss-coyle.html?
Reading between the lines on that Marcus but is Coyle trying to cover his arse with the Bolton fans? Apart from what he can teach our younguns, he is still one of the best I have seen at holding up the ball and bringing other players into games.
