King - Saves the washing lady a job as he is so innefective he may as well not be there. Without his goals he is a luxury we cannot afford. Wellens - tries but is way past his best Gallagher - 1 game in 6, slow and must be Pearsons love child as there is no other reason for him being in the team Danns - what the hell has happened to him, quality for Palace last season but very average for us. The midfield is a shambles and gives the defence no cover, slow, lightweight and no creativity, you could get rid of them all for me. Barnsleys midfield ran the show today and this isn't the 1st time this season!
I think Sven wanted Sean Scannell from Palace but got mixed up with Neil Danns King does nothing Wellens miles off the pace But im going to stick up for Gally. He tries to make things happen, only player who can take a set peice and the only player who isnt scared to shoot
Well we agree on 3 out of 4! Doesn't say a lot for them, I am not a big fan of Gallagher as he is to lightweight but even if we went with 3 from 4 it really is a big awful mess.
Gally looked world class for the first 5 minutes, and woeful for the rest of the time he was on the pitch.
I personally think Gallagher is one of the most talented players in the squad. BUT he is lightweight and slow. We need players around him that can allow him time and space, a luxury reserved for only the best players and teams around. On his day, he has the ability to pick the passes and create the opportunities but it is rarely his day. We all know what he can do (vs palace), but we don't see it enough.
Lets be honest Gallagher has no competition when it comes to free kicks, corners etc etc, and if he is the best we have, then we def are in trouble, likewise if that is all he offers,(which it is) does he warrant a place in the team................ ANSWER, NO..............
given the right style of play and players round him that accomodate him he could be absolute class. Biggest problem Gallagher has is that he doesn't really have a best position and we need midfielders. He is neither a midfielder nor a striker
To be fair to gally, at least he looks like he cares, which is more than can be said for most of them...........
I like Gally for his heart but, he isn't good enough at this level. I totally do not agree that we could build a team around him, come on lets be half right here.
have to agree ng10, at best he is lower championship level, but prob more league 1 to be honest, heart yes, ability no never in a million...........
