Can't pass. Can't tackle. Can't defend. Can't think. Can pull our central defenders out of position. Can run, once in a blue moon, but then loses the ball or just gives it away. Can persuade some of my fellow Mackem's he is a footballer and should be in the starting eleven? Prompt the Ricco fanboys saying it is because of him being moved around, odd other players being moved, doesn't turn them into someone who looks like they have never seen a football before. The bloke is a liability every time he plays, where ever he plays! The only defensive work on the left has been done by McClean.
Agreed. He's ****. Whoever linked him with Arsenal must have miss heard something. Someone probable said he's a ****ing twat of a useless **** and couldn't wipe my asre ' anarl.
Better at what exactly? He can't pass or make anything happen in LM either. Oh you mean having a lash at a ball every now and then and it sometimes goes goal ward!
I don't know why everyone is having a pop at Richardson today, he did very little wrong, the goal was Bardo's fault he was in no mans land and not tight enough to Torres. Chelsea had very few clear cut chances apart from the 2 possible pens and Richardson was no where near either. I am no Richardson fan boy and if you read my recent posts I have been calling for us to buy a lb, but to have a go at a guy who was part of a very successful defense today is a bit harsh. Your entitled to your opinions but I don't agree with you. Up front is what lost us the game, the ability to not finish chances, that is the area that should be critisised not the defense which took a wonder strike followed by a bit of luck to be beaten.
I used to be a strong Ricco fan but agree he isn't at his best..... BUT... if he needs replacing, who with? He is 100% effort IMHO. x
Well as your points will be more valid than mine being a semi pro. My opinion is based on length of time watching football not how good I was. And in my opinion my comments are valid because he was utter ****e. I couldn't give to ****s if you think it's harsh, the guy is a liability. He may as well have not been there. McClean was doing all his graft. His idea of defense is to stand between the attacker and the goal, then let him pass the ball past him and turn and watch what happens. He makes no effort to close down. His passing once again was abysmal. Every time I heard the words Richardson has the ball or Ming has the ball, the next words were guaranteed to be Chelsea on the attack again. Both seem incapable of passing the ball to a Sunderland player. I'm chuffed to bits with the whole teams play today and with a bit more composure should have had at least a draw. Just look at the difference with Ricco off and McClean freed up to do what we know he can.
I said more or less the same thing on the Chelsea v Sunderland thread. He was absolute pants today and should have been taken off much sooner than he was. McClean was outstanding today, despite missing two great chances to score.
As I say you entitled to your opinion but I don't agree with you. MON obviously sees something in Richardson or he would not play him.
I sometimes start to doubt my sanity mate. I know we all see games differently, but I have never, ever, seen this Richardson others have. The goal against the skunks has kept their hopes up for him I think. He was dreadful last week and dreadful again today, no surprise when he went off we improved as well.
Are you being a bit Adrian Durham here MR?.....Howld on I havent seen the game yit dinna gan radgey!............but in the spirit of MON getting people to play out of their skins Is there really no hope? ....i hate it when somebody leaves and suddenly theyre brilliant....
I totally agree with the negative Ricco comments. He has been our weak link for a long time now and guarantted 7 out of 10 times he will give the ball away when we are passing the ball well! The reason MON picks him is because we have nobody else at LB. Jack of all trades master of none springs to mind!
He must be one of the fastest weve got If you think about opposition with pace youve got to have someone to match them.....Who else have we got?
I see your point but you can't pick a player just because he's a fast sprinter! I saw Ramires out sprint him to day anyway but thats besides the point! A player that can read the game and see things before they happen dont need loads of pace!
I think the problem with richardson is that he does do very good things on the pitch wharever you play him.....unfortunatly he is not consistant enough.. he has one good game every couple of months, and he is quick....but his passing ,shooting defending and everything that makes you a prem player for most of the time is woefull...........he scores great goals sometimes...and that keeps him in the side but i feel he will not be playing for us next year.end off an MON will get rid
I think when he was asked to take over that spot it was done on the basis of if theres a chance you can break do it and you will be covered...he scored a couple from break aways...maybe thats still in place Tees, and is getting in the way of his "development" for want of a better word... it seems like not long ago he was one of two we called strikers...
Just watching ManU and there's this young lad called Scholes playing for them, I think he is a new signing but he is very slow. But what a footballing brain he has, just goes to show you don't need pace to be good at football.
