I like Vito, he seems to really want to play for us and every time I hear him speak I have more respect for him and like him more. 2 games played, 2 wins, 1 clean sheet, 1 goal conceded. 1 goal every 180 minutes so far.
I'm trusting his dad.......! http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-14421084-detail/story.html
i like mannone, but i think his 1st 2 games have been shaky in all honesty, at fault for there goal last week which wasnt mentioned as he isnt gulasci, and should have given a penalty away today, not quite sure how the ref didnt give it as it was as clear cut as they come.
2 games and 2 wins with only one goal conceded and a clean sheet doesn't seem awfully shaky, does it?
not a disaster thanks to others.., but 2 potentially big errors in 2 games which could have proven costly, luckily they didnt, certianly not the start he made to his last spell tho, hopefully he will get there.
It wasn't a penalty....... The player did not have control of the ball, he ran into him and started going down before the contact was even made.
Agree. He stood his ground, held his hands in air and Posh player just ran into him. Linesman yards away gave goal kick. Never a penalty in a million years... but if it had been down the other end.....?
its irrelevant where the ball is going, a foul is a foul and from my position in the south stand it was cast iron, he committed himself and made contact , obviously pleased it wasnt given.. but if it was us i would have been fuming.
Gerrard did that in front of the Kop and its a penalty. We got away with it. Its hard to have the moral upper hand when our players do it as well. We screamed at their keeper for staying down after Evans' challenge on him (again a sending off in the Prem) then when Evans goes down 5 minutes later we want the game stopping. Next thing he jumps up and wins a header.
Mannone just needs game time of which he has had very little this season. Will be very happy when we make his deal a permanent one.
It was never a penalty, it was directly in front of me..... Just because someone runs into a player its not a foul. I have the referee and linesman on my side, who i have to admit where excellent through out. And tbh Evan's did foul their keeper, it was clear we gained an advantage from it so it was a foul.
Manone will drop the odd clanger all keepers do, he's a better keeper than Myhill, Christ he gets hero worship and dropped more ridiculous mistakes than any keeper I can remember watching: at times he made Heslop look world class
well i guess wel have to disagree, i thought the ref was a clown for both teams, yes it was a foul by evans, but you can have a foul without producing a yellow card he was entitled to go for the ball... also nearly every decision he didnt have a clue what to do, and kept changing his mind at the last minute..and he didnt just run into him mannone went to ground, just cos he didnt go fully down with his arms spread doesnt mean he didnt go down he slid out on one knee..its a matter of opinion i guess as it was also in front of me.
I wasnt too fussed when Vito came back, but after hearing him at Beverley OSC last monday night, im now happy he is here, as he is a player that wants to be here and play for the tigers. IMO the Defence seem a lot more confident with Vito behind them, more than they did with Gulacsi was in goal.
Vito looks like a 'double hard bastard' as my cousin would say. You wouldn't want to meet him in a dark ally.
