    Football Has Sold It's Soul.

Not everyone's favourite person but Wenger has something here.

We as fans have often been inconvenienced by the chopping and changing of fixtures to suit the TV companies. How would football be if we all became armchair supporters?

No atmosphere at grounds, nobody getting behind the team to encourage them that little bit more, and then when the TV companies get tired of covering football nobody putting money into the clubs coffers.

I can't see it ever getting that bad but how long would MA stay in the game if thousands of us weren't turning up every week in team tops to show our loyalty to our team?

I dont think it would be an issue for us to be honest, we have a hardcore fan base that most clubs could only wish for, i doubt it would get that bad for us, however some other teams fan bases arent as big and less loyal, look at wigan, bolton and blackburn, they havent really filled their stadium this season.

True, we've kept going for years without winning anything and I for one would never stay away to watch the games on the box.

Didn't Fergie say something similar a few months back?

The days of 50k every week are gone, and we only have 50k now because of our league position.

It baffles me, it really does. You see almost every stadium in the Premier League with empty seats, yet the clubs still charge shocking prices.

Look at QPR, they came up and were charging £50 a ticket, the new owner came in but they still charged £45 for us to go there on a Monday night, their reason? Other London clubs do it! That's ridiculous. I have made my peace with better clubs charging more, but not QPR. We should have done it to their fans, but no, MA has been spot on here in only charging £26.

Do owners not realise that if they lowered the prices, the grounds would fill and cold effectively make more.

We quite plain and simply pay the players wages, we get punished for them getting shocking amounts of money.

God knows why we do it, but yes, football has sold its soul, more so in this country. MA knows that our support is key to him making money, which is why some of his decisions are baffling because they could lose some of our support.

We should be kept happy at all costs in my opinion.

Best away support in the Country, owners of other clubs know we'll go to the games and cash in on our loyalty to the team.

I hate watching our games on the TV but I'm in a lucky position were I can afford to go to games.
Football is big business but some clubs are out of touch with what the working man can afford and need to cut prises.
I watched Wycome Wanders against Huddersfield the other week and if the lower leagues can still get fans to go for me Football still has a soul.
Supporting your home team has to be the best feeling in the world, no matter what league they are in.

Football is completely different to normal business. The owners of clubs can screw us fans over as much as they want, because we have nowhere else to go. If you get bad service at a shop you'll shop somewhere else next time, but we can't change teams if we get mistreated.

I think it's pretty disgusting that Darlington may go out of business, but they could be saved by two weeks worth of Tevez's wages.......that shows the problem with football nowadays. Obscene wages at the very top of the tree has lead to detachment from your average fan. And the average fan is slowly being priced out of the game.

And it's pretty much solely because the Sky money isn't filtering down the pyramid.
