Kick up the backside needed

for one Jose Enrique.

I mentioned this last week, he's looking lazy. Against bolton first half he really didn't put in the effort, hitting the ball upfield with no runners and generally looking disheartened until he had to step up second half.

Today he was the same, not looking to attack or get involved much at all. He didn't put the effort in, was always looking for the easy pass to Jonas and not whipping the balls in. Up until his substitution, I thought he was awful.

Whatever the reason, carrying an injury or not interested in the club/looking forward to a move in the summer, Pardew needs to have a word with him cause we've seen him lose the ball on more than one occasion and it could become costly.

 

Maybe his heart isn't in it anymore?

 

I love how you can jump on Enrique after a couple of bad games but still think Lovenkrands is mint and hes done absolutely **** all for 90% of the time.

There was far worse than him today, i.e Taylor, Simpson, Lovenkrands.....

 

Simpson, wrong position
Taylor, Strange position + back from injury
Lovenkrands, honestly hes useless

Yes, the players had a shocker today but there was just something different about Enrique. Whereas the team tried, Enrique just didn't seem too. I first noticed it (and I first mentioned it to you) last week but didn't make a big deal out of it but him today I was disappointed how little he actually put in.

You know me, I don't toon criticise players much unless i feel there is a big problem. Even with Perch, I didn't have a go at him when he played.

 

I sadly have to agree with Hatem is a geordie, all signs are pointing to Enrique leaving to me.
However, i think it's unfair to judge on him on two performance where most of the team were much ****ter than he was

 

I do agree he wasnt his best today, particularly for their second goal I think he could have got the cross in but he went to sleep and did nowt, was still good going forward but looked **** defensively, all I was saying is that there is probably other players more deserving of the criticism.

P.s hope Enrique's heart isnt elsewhere.... like a champs league team :|

 

Depends if it's deserved criticism though, like simpson or taylor who dont really deserve it since they were out of position and unfit respectfully. I agree lovenkrands didn't have a great day either but I'm just expressing my concern about Enrique cause unlike the rest of the players, he looked like he didnt want to be there today.

 

People are only criticizing him because he usually plays awesome, and it's become something we now expect...

 

Nah, it's his body language. if you get to watch the full highlights, watch him on and off the ball.

 

I'll watch for this in the next game I watch, haven't realised it but then again I haven't been looking for it.

 

Went straight down the tunnel when he was subbed aswell, could have just been disappointed though.

 

I thought he was injured? Just getting treatment maybe.

 

Unfortunately, I agree with iToons. Jose looked poor today, disinterested. Wasn't really putting the normal effort we see from him (& the rest of the squad) in.

Hopefully it was just because he is/was injured, and is back to his normal self come Stoke.

 

Yeah I noticed that he did go straight down. It looked like he took a knock, he was down before the sub so I'm hoping he was just carrying a knock.

 

Enrique is **** for the first 15 minutes. After that, he usually gets into it, but today he let Jonas do all the work until he got injured, Ferguson should have come on then, I'm really excited about this lad.

 

As am I, give him time next season and then we MAY be able to let Jose go at the end of next season for the right price...

 

I think he's had his head turned and i'm pretty sure he'll be off in the summer. Just hopefully not to them scouse twats.

 

I hear Clichy turned down his contract so Wenger could be interested in him.

 

Please god no, if he were to leave, I'd want it to be to AC or Barca
