Megadeath who came back as that reincarnated from a previous life. Good lad . Prolific poster who loves Muslims and taking his mam to the match.

RIP Barton's Tash, then Heavy Metal Toon and now Megadeth NUFC. Pretty much, he's that guy everybody rips, but knows that this forum would be a little less fun without him. Except for Chappaz, who hates his guts.

That would ruin us, he'd have to flee the country to evade the Greggs agents, thus leaving us in finanicial turmoil!!

And fed them to him? Genius move, the one thing he wouldn't expect! He must think muffins can only equate to happiness, how wrong he is!

i remember Heavy Metal Toon vaguely. I usually just lurk in the background under the alias of 'guest', but decided i should get back involved again....basically because where i work has lost a few contracts and i have bollocks all else to do :) it does seem alot quieter than it used to be on here

To be honest, he doesn't think a lot about anything. Except about Dave Whelan. He ****ing hates that ****. Or that's what it sounded like as I told him, 'just a few more bites, and the pain will stop.'

I don't see any problem whatsoever with the forum lately. I don't think it is such a crime to talk about things other than football, and if I'm being honest, constantly discussing transfer targets and possible formations gets a bit tedious after a while.

<ok> If there's anything wrong with the quality of this forum now, it's that some people are strangley annoyed with the offtopic conversation which is actually the backbone of this place. If there was no offtopic, this would be an insanely boring place to be.

100% this. The off topic stuff is why the Newcastle part of this site is the most commented on and - by extension - most interesting, other wise it would be as empty as all the other teams who pretty much talk exclusively football.

You're right though - the best threads are offtopic threads where everybody is encouraged to contribute and interact. Threads that pack all the interest in the OP die quickly.

i think more people are inclined to post on the off topics as on the football related a fair few posters seem to shout louder than some or piss on other peoples opinions unknowingly, it can seem hostile sometimes.. off topics is good for people to relax on and prove to be popular

I think Post Your Favourite Marmot could be a success. I tell you what, you try it and if it fails to succeed beyond 1 page of actual contribution then I'll have to mention Marmots in every post I make this weekend.

A bit of this. I'm not scared of people <laugh> but there are some insufferable bellends (not naming names) who won't stop until everyone agrees with them.

Would an "OT - Squirrel Megathread" count?
