    Perhaps we could borrow Stern John for the weekend, he always knew where the goal was and was prolific in the Championship. Prob lost all pace but his goalscoring record is good...

    He would have been decent back up to Lambert. You would't have been able to play them as a partnership though, so not bothered at all really.

    He's a good player, but I still don't think they have a goalscorer ATM. Scott McDonald has struggled ever since he moved and Emnes seems to have slowed after his start of season form. Their defensive solidity is what has them up near the top IMO. We've scored double the home goals that they have (30 to 15), a prime example.

    Jutikiewicz isn't the goalscorer they need, 18 in 69 is a very poor return. Admittedly in a poor team but a goalscorer should score goals in a poor team.

    I've never once believed that we were seriously in for Lukas. Far too easy for writers to look at the fact that he's a local lad who supports the team, and so suggest his name at every opportunity. Moreover, talking to my Coventry-supporting colleague, apparently that the local Coventry media were all over Lukas to Boro during the Xmas/New Year period (my colleague had gone back home to Coventry to see his family), but just didn't mention us.

    NA and NC have got us all beat! Why on earth would be wanting to buy players from teams that can't even make it in the Championship? Why would we want to buy players that have failed to hold their place in the premiership? or anyone from the Scottish leagues? Expect only the unexpected! We have to be different, we have to be better than the rest! Delete the last 62 pages of this thread! cheers!
