    Same architects obviously. Must be depressing for the company to see their life's work being labelled as disgusting and pulled down!

    They've done these "regeneration" schemes all over the North East for years. A few colourful buildings go up in a ****ty part of town, a few quirky fences, some sort of water feature and a hideous sculpture of some sort is classed as "regeneration".

    Gateshead Town Hall, just a stones throw from the carabuncle that was the multi story Car Park featured in 'Get Carter' where one of the villians met his doom.

    I've always loved the church round the corner from where I live, I don't know why, it's not too disimilar to most churches but I like it!

    It's amazing how many Churches like this that you see driving through small villages in Northumberland when you think that even if the whole village attended the services they still wouldn't be full.

    St. Charles RC, where my Grandad's funeral was. Good church, priest was excellent (even though he's catholic, he didn't mind us Jews...).
