We have no say on Gardner anymore, But i would think its un-likely that City will alow it in McShanes case for obvious reasons. lol.
I was thinking part of the loan agreement could be Paul McShane and Anthony Gardner have to play central defence against us, in return we could let them have McShane without contributing towards his wages for a month When do we play them anyway?
Funny you should mention his wages. I wonder if City have dropped a loan fee IF Palace pick up ALL McShanes wages ? Thats a nice chunk of money for inCommings IF they do.
I'm extremely doubtful there would even be a loan fee for a month, they wouldn't even pick up his entire wage, I'd guess they're paying half at the very most.
I was meaning IF the deal became a season long loan. But yes for a month i agree. Lets hope it lasts eh ?
He'll be going to cover Peter Ramage who won't be there anymore for Palace's Carling Cup final... assuming they get there that is.
Thing about this is remember how Mcshane played for us on loan? He was brilliant, then we signed him permanently which is a whole different kettle of fish! Hopefully he impresses between now and end of jan (if he goes) and Palace decide to splash the cash on deadline day!
I would be happy to see him go for FREE, IF City could get his wages off the books and use them for Nicks incommings.
Until the end of January they could also turn the current emergency loan into a long term loan. I suspect that's the plan, or they've worked out the splits in the loan so that he does 28 days now, has a break without missing a game, does another 28 days, has a break without missing a game and then on emergency loan deadline day signs for the remaining 37 days, which off the top of my head would make it just about see him to the last league game of the season (but not playoffs). Is there an international break in mid-February or mid-March?
No more International breaks this season BUT Hull City will get a weekend off on 25/26th February IF Cardiff City make the C.Cup Final.
I was thinking of Palace with McShane. If Palace make it to the final they'll be off the league that weekend as well, so 29 day loan starting today takes him as far as 18th February. Next league game for them would be 3rd March. final game of the season (excluding playoffs) is 56 days after that, 85 days in total on loan. They could have effectively signed him til the end of the season so long as he doesn't **** it up this month. EDIT: In fact **** it, they can send him back on the Sunday after his 29 days, and then resign him the following Friday for the rest of the 93 days he's allowed and he'd be with them for all the regular season games. Doing it that way means they get a month to test him out, and aren't paying his wages during May (administratively a season long loan would have to end in the transfer window when it opens in June)
