I presume that someone from the commercial side of the club reads this. Last year I suggested that City Player was turning out to be poor value for money as they could include: behind-closed-doors stuff, behind-the-scenes, reserves footage, juniors footage, etc, etc. They even started putting stupid quizes on, which although slightly tacky, did offer a little more value to the fans who have bought the subscription We seem to have returned to the same old same old. OK I know there hasnt been any Juniors and Ressie stuff, but are we to believe that the club has closed down, or do they now have our money so it doesnt matter?
I'm thinking of cancelling mine to be honest it's a bit **** and only ever go on to watch highlights and whatever now which are readily available on BBC and Sky in better quality (albeit sometimes shorter), so basically I'm paying £4 a month to watch reserve highlights which are never on there.
If I could get to matches I wouldn't see a need for it, but as I can't, I enjoy being able to listen to live commentaries, and watch highlights and complete games. Not sure that I would really want to watch a whole reserves or juniors match however! Agree the quizzes were a bit lame, but its good to be able to see some of the players being interviewed, you get some idea of their personalities, though I often wonder about the guy who interviews them - he sounds about 14 and as if he's doing work experience......... You can also often listen to live commentaries of other games which are not necessarily on 5live or talksport
£4 is good value to watch the City games and get the Live commentaries especially if you live outside of Hull. Agree the content could be better but for £4(3.99 actually) its ok.
just been informed from a good source at the club that its recent demise could be related in some way to the mark mcguire situation
If it's Gareth Griffiths doing them then he's my age, not sure about the other people that work on it though.
