There is a lot of talk in the papers regarding all sorts of players... Any of this got any truth to it? I think Carroll maybe coming in the summer is true and the talk or Erdinc and Ba are both hopefully true as well. It is nice to look at the papers for a day and see no negative gossip surrounding Newcastle.
Carroll - Won't happen imo. High wages, big fee, Llambias slagged him off. Ba - Not in January, maybe in summer. Depends if we get in Europe or not I'd say. Zaha - Think he will go elsewhere. Don't rate him too much tbh. Morrison - Could happen, seems like the type of player we go for. Erdinc - Got a feeling this will happen, been chasing him for years. Bound to happen one day. Tomkins - If he has handed in transfer request like it was mentioned then I think we will get him.
I'd say Carroll, Ba, Zaha will be no goers. The rest? No idea really but it would be sweet if we did get a striker in as well as defensive cover. I've learned not to get my hopes up though, as have we all.
What was the name of the French lad we were supposedly after? CB at Monpellier I think it was? Has that died now?
Should Hoillet be added to that list .. see his name mentioned in a few articles over the last couple of days .. £7Million would more or less secure him .. haven't really seen much of him to be honest .. (not sure if he's been discussed already either)
He'd be great. Heard Bolton and Stoke were battling for him, we can't let this happen! Kean recently said he thinks Hoilett will leave aswell, so its possible
I don't think the press will ever guess who we are going for. They ususally don't pick up on it untill he's confirmed or the other club has said something to the press.
Tomkins now, then in the summer get this lad. Got a horrible feeling that we won't pay Coloccini what he is on now or more and he might leave
Yep, not sure if he is on the £80k a week that was mentioned a while back, but think it will be quite high. Surely we have to pay him what he wants - he seems happy here and his daughter is a Geordie apparently so surely if we offer him what he is on now or a wee bit more then he will sign it?
anyone seen Abdelhakim Omrani play? Apparently on trial from Lens, Algeria u23? Could be another promising player like Abeid!!
I read somewhere Omrani was on trial but not likely to get a deal. Also, in a rare occurence, Liverpool happen to be connected with Zaha. Maybe we could send scouts to watch highly promising utility player James Perch of Newcastle United in the hope they steal in at the last minute.
