To a point. Lampard and Drogba's careers really took off under us. Lampard was considered a pretty average midfielder and soon went on to become a P.L great. Drogba had only really had one stand out season at Marseille and he became world class with us. Mata was a very good player but his reputation has been enhanced certainly over here this season.
Matas quality but wouldn't say his one of the best in the league at the moment, his too inconsistent at the moment but that's most likely because his not being played in his best position and his still young + has only been in PL football for a few months
Mata and Ramires are our best players. I'd say they're one of the best in the league but as Ginge said, Silva is head and shoulders above everyone else.
I'd still rather have RVP over Silva though and i'd say Mata,Rambo,Lamps and Sturridge and Torres when played have been our main players this season but all 4 have been inconsistent, just need to get the consistency back, e.g. rambo is ****ing quality but he does have the odd game where he goes missing or misses so many sitters !!, Mata does have games where he tends to be very quiet or it takes him a while to get into, e.g. the city game he was pissing all over em 2nd half when he got the FREE role whereas on the left he was struggling to create anything, Lamps always pops up with goals but their has been times this season where his had some very poor games and Sturridge i'd say has probably been our best player overall but theres a lot of times he wastes a lot of chances and doesn't pass when he should e.g. the newcastle game he missed about 8 chances and might of got a assist from about 3 or 4 of them. O well though it's onwards and upwards but i do think it's gotta be Mata in the FREE AM role behind Sturridge and Torres, then were go back to ripping teams to shreds, get old rambo on the right and meireles on the left and Romeu in the holding, with a bit of ashley cole running down the left wing with pin-point crosses and brana running down the right barging everyone over and gary and tel keepin opposition defenders at bay with cech making a few world class saves and were be all sorted!!
I don't even read the gossip column on the bbc anymore because of the rubbish they come out with. Hope the rumour about Kalou is true though, fingers crossed

Not quite right. Didn't spend big ( relatively ) on Mata, Luiz, Reimerles or Romeu. And we are getting **** LOADS from them. Didn't Carroll cost Loserpool £35 Mill ???? Are you on their boards ?? I'm starting to get right pissed off with all this £30 million plus bollocks that the press spout about for every player we go in for. **** that. Romeu...class bit of business. Ramires...see above. Mereiles...nice Mata....superb... This is the way forward.
