i forgot to mention that reuben hazell was interviewed on 5 live on friday night. he had been to anfield and had witnessed his friend and former team mate tom adeyemi, allegedly, racially abused. he was not at all impressed with what happened which is widely seen as a spinoff ftom the suarez incident and the inept management that followed. 5 live were asking the public to phone in and comment on whether racial abuse of players was prevalent or not as bad as it used to be. reuben had not seen his friend react like that before. it was felt it was as much to do with the lack of action by the match officials as to what was allegedly said to the player. anyway merseyside police have arrested a 20year old man in connection with the incident. tom adeyemi was visually very moved and incensed by the incident and lack of activity by the ref etc, according to the commentary, and they also recorded how good it was to see players from both sides comforting the player. anyway well said reuben and come back soon. floreat salopia
I happened to hear that interview too, however although Reubon spoke to Adeyemi he admitted he did not know the player as he is on loan from Norwich and wasn't at Oldham when Reubon was there. Reuben has been voicing his opinions on the matter in question on social networks. He needs to be careful what he is sharing in the public forum, particularly after allegedly making homophobic remarks to people recently prior to airing his opinions. A former player of ours has been sacked from his club today for airing homophobic statements on a social network. Racism and homophobia equally have no place in today's society.
