We are talking about getting in new faces si I would presume we will get rid of the trio of Connolly AOB AND BILLY BUT HAVE THEY GONE WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE lets hope so although in Connollys case I feel he has been made a scapegoat for the rest of the back 4
    Does anyone know

I thought Connolly was our best defender and most consistent player last season

I would agree that I wouldn’t be looking at replacing Connolly for his performances just yet when there’s gaps all over our team that need filling, so it must be something to do with an off the field clash. Maybe he backed O'Brien on his stance of not being in the right frame of mind to play and if thats true we need him out as quick as possible as its not good for the dressing room. Harsh but true and more unnecessary expense without the guarantee he will get a better player in!

thing about connolly is hes solid whenever we play a team without a quick, skillful left winger. then as soon as we do come up against someone like that..he gets torn apart, liability

Connelly- average at best, needs getting rid of asap. Would rather see Zac Thompson at RB.

It's clear that Snoddy and Connolly play well together, but he's been caught out too often this season. Barnsley was a disgrace, as it was last season for him. He puts in average performances most of the time but when things are going against us, he won't stand up and refuse to be skinned by wingers. Give Thompson a chance and also look at bringing in Lichaj since it's not Thompson's natural position and he's still young and prone to error.

He's ****ing ****! the good thing about being a right back is, your isolated to one position, if you can get that right your destined to have a good career, if you can bomb forward and and get back quick enough, you then become champions league quality! Conners, can't do either and as barnsley was a disgrace, blamed everyone but himself!!

Connolly was consistently average last season. That's not a criticism either, it's just he was never fantastic. He's an average player and would be decent back up, but we need better to push on.

yea i'd agree with that which is why i dont see it as a priority area to strengthen in.

he is consistently average, meanwhile O'Dear and all the other liabilites at CB are consistently ****. We have a lot of gaps in our team. So hopefully we can bring Lichaj quickly and move onto more important areas although thompson did well there to be fair.
